Coffee Date 💚🧡

When someone asks if they want to get coffee with them, they should be more specific! Do you want to just grab coffee as friends or is it a coffee date? And you can't just ask them because if it's not a date then maybe they will think you're weird and never want to talk to you ever again! Okay... Well I know that's a bit of an exaggeration.

It all started on Thursday morning. I went down stairs to get breakfast and Sapnap was already there. It's quite unusual for him to be awake at this time, especially when it's happened for 4 days in a row. Normally he sleeps in until 3pm and on the weekends I don't think he ever comes out of his room.

He is standing there pouring a cup of coffee and I decided to start a conversation while making toast.

"How was your sleep last night Sapnap?"

"Surprisingly it was good." he spoke in a soft morning voice.

"Really? I wonder when this good sleep schedule streak will break for you."

"I hope it will stick for a while. I think the only thing keeping my routine together is the coffee."

"Not for long, I think there is only enough coffee left for one more day."

Sapnap sets his cup down after a nice long sip of his hot drink.

"Well in that case, Dream, do you want to get coffee with me on Saturday morning?"

My heart sank at the question and my brain must have stopped working for a second because I was stammering for words.

"I- well I don't, um, actually drink coffee but I could- uh- get tea."

"Okay. I can have the last cup here tomorrow and then on Saturday I can still wake up early to have coffee with you."

I grabbed the toast that I made and started to leave the kitchen.

"Good luck with that. I haven't seen you get out of bed early on a Saturday ever." I chuckled and made my way upstairs.

Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. What just happened?

I close my bedroom door behind me and set my toast on the desk. I sit down in my chair but I can't start eating yet. I am too busy freaking out.

Did Sapnap just ask me out? Or is he just using me as an excuse to pull him out of bed and keep his sleep schedule the way it is? I have to figure it out.

On Friday morning I meet him again in the kitchen and begin using my detective skills.

"Are we still doing that thing tomorrow?"

"Getting coffee? Yeah."

Ugh, he couldn't be a little more specific?

"Okay, just wondering."

"Why? Are you looking forward to it?"

"Uh, I guess so- yeah."

I didn't know what to say. I am looking forward to it but should I be "Yeah, I can't wait to try the green tea"- looking forward to it, or the "Yeah, this will be a nice first date"- looking forward to it. I just panicked, okay?

"That's good. Me too. Oh! I also want to say something else so that you aren't confused about tomorrow."

Please clear up the facts and tell me if it's a date or not. Please. Please. Please.

"I am going to stop at the store and get more coffee for at home. So that I can keep waking up in the morning and drink coffee at home."

We are running his errands too? I am just going to say it's not a date. Who does that on a date?
