"Y/N!" I shouted.

But she didn't even flinch a bit. Everyone except her was now looking at me. I felt embarrassed not only from shouting like that in the middle of the street and attracting attention but more from Y/N not turning around. I am kind of angry at her now.

I returned home without buying the ingredients.

My mom asked, "Ji Eun, did you not get the things I told you to?"

"No, mom. I am sorry. The shop ran out of those ingredients."

"See. I told you to go early. I guess I will just have to change the menu for dinner tonight now."

"I should have gone earlier. Then nothing would have happened."

"What wouldn't have happened? What happened? Is something wrong?"

"No, mom. Nothing serious. I will go to my room."

I laid on my bed on my back, thinking about the possible reasons why she could have ignored me but I couldn't come up with anything.

Time skip

I woke up to my alarm ringing loudly. I turned it off and got ready for school. I was just going to skip my breakfast but my mom didn't let me as I skipped dinner yesterday. And because of that, I am a few minutes late.

I enter and see her talking to someone else. You know who I am talking about. I thought I was angry at her for yesterday but I don't think I am anymore after seeing her smile. I am just hurt.

I don't even know how time went by this fast. I was probably looking at her most of the time. It was lunch already.

I was just sitting in my table, doing nothing. When she approached me and asked, "umm, hello. Is this chair unoccupied?"

"Well–"

"Y/N!" someone called and she turned around. Why couldn't she do that yesterday?
