I was going to the supermarket. It has been a few days over a week ever since I came to know that she hadn't deliberately ignored me. It made me feel good that she wanted to friends as well. She kept her words and showed me that she indeed wanted to friends with me. We would sometimes sit together in class, or sit at the same table at lunch. We even hung out outside school. I guess you could say that we were quite close now.

Just as I walked thinking about all this, I couldn't control the smile on my face. And that's when I saw a familiar figure, Y/N.

"Y/N!!"

Everyone except her was now staring at me.

Déjà vu.

Muttering apologies to them, I made my way towards her and sighed. I gently tapped her on the shoulder and she turned around. Her expression going from a confused one to a happy one.

"Hey!" she greeted, her voice matching the enthusiasm shown on her face.

"You didn't wear it again," I stated.

She smiled sheepishly and answered, "ugh. Don't start with that. Isn't my mother enough? Come, let's go. We can maybe go for coffee if we finish this soon enough" she said as she walked away, probably looking for the things on the list.

I smiled and said, "wait for me!" even though she can't probably hear me.

It is similar to the first meeting we had at the supermarket but this time, I had enough courage to talk to her. The only thing that changed is that I know her better now and she is my friend. I think I still have a crush on her. But for now, I am content with what I have with her.

So, wish you luck too. Take the first step. Confront them. Don't let misunderstandings come in your way. Talk it out.
