Tanjirou Kamado was your average 18 year old from a poor family.His father, Tanjuro kamado passed away so he became head of the family. Wanting to make everyone happy, he began working as hard as he could to help his family by picking up his fathers job of selling coal. "Tanjirou" His mother called out, she was a young, beautiful woman in her mid 30's with purple eyes and black hair with a mole beneath her lip. "Good morning mother" Tanjirou replied. "you don't have to go today. Just stay with us" she pleaded, not wanting her son to get sick from the heavy snow. "its ok mother I want to, so that everyone can eat their fill on new years." kie (Tanjirous mother) sighed. "I understand Tanjiro, you should probably get going though ,the snow might pick up" she warned. Onii-chan! multiple small voices called out, Tanjirou looked behind his mother to see his siblings running towards them. "nii-chan!" Tanjirous brother and sister Takeo and Hanako called out, "Take us with you!" They asked, "No you cant go" Kie interrupted, WHY NOT?! both children shouted, Because you cant walk as fast as Tanjirou can. Besides, he's not carrying the cart today so he cant carry you when your tired" kie quicky replied.
Tanjirou laughed, attracting the attention of his siblings. WHATS SO FUNNY?! they asked in unison, "Don't worry when I come back ill bring goodies for you all ok?" REALLY?! they asked their eyes sparkling with joy. "Yes really, and shigeru", Tanjirou looked behind the siblings too see him. "We'll chop wood when I get back alright?". "You promise?" shigeru asked, "I promise". And with that Tanjirou left for town not knowing it would be the last time he ever saw them alive.
