"Tell me, Conny," Don said while crossing his arms in front of me. He bent down his body while seriously eyeing me. "Are you hiding something from me?" He suddenly asked.
"Eh?!" My mouth gaped as I took a few steps backward.
"You're hiding something from me!" He exclaimed. I almost choked from my own breath when he said it again. He leaned his face closer as if he is interrogating me. "You think I won't notice it? You are always with Ray! You barely come with me these days."
"Ah...Ehmm..."
AHHH! Did Don notice something? What is it? How?! Did I make miscalculations again?!
My heart pounded so hard which made me more nervous. "T-that..." I muttered. I raised my index finger while showing him a nervous smile. "Haha, I-I... ehem... Conny is not hiding anything..." I lied.
His eyes squinted at me when I said that. He retracted his face away but he's still crossing his arms. "You don't have to lie to me, Conny. I thought you trust me? Why are you keeping a secret?" He said.
I suddenly felt guilty while looking at Don's face. I played with my palm as my eyes dropped to the floor.
Should I tell him?
Did he really know anything?
It's my fault for being a little bit distant from him. I think I was too focused on escaping... After all, Don has also the right to know about things.
He is one of my closest friends.

I heard him took a deep breath. I suddenly felt a palm on my head patting me softly. I immediately raised my head to meet his smiling face. "Don't worry, I am not angry," He said. "Conny is becoming more active these days, but I feel that you're becoming more distant to me."
My body stopped when I heard him said that. That guilt that I am feeling right now became deeper.
"I'm sorry..." I said in a guilty tone.
"You don't have to," He said with a kind smile on his face. "I am actually happy about your improvement. Just always remember that we are friends and you can count on me in every problem you have."
My eyes suddenly became misty when I heard him.

"Wah, Dooooon!" I cried. I immediately hugged him on his waist while trying to hide my misty eyes. I heard him laugh energetically as he hugged me back. "Why are you so kind to me?" I asked while hugging him tighter.
"Because I care for Conny," He said.
I bit my lips when I suddenly recalled his reactions when he found out about my death in the anime series. I was reminded of his broken reaction when he punched Norman and literally sent Ray flying with his punch.
