Another month has passed and within that month, Irene never failed to check on your situation, especially after what she saw last time that you ate with her members.
Right now, you have a date with your childhood friend, and you're actually excited to go out today. Not because you wanted to escape your own thoughts but because you missed doing these things with her.
As you wait outside their dorm, you finally see her exit their place. A bright smile instantly appeared on your face, greeting your closest friend.
"Someone's excited"
"I mean... who wouldn't? I get to spend a day with THE Bae Joohyun"
"Oh shut up, Y/n. It's not like we aren't doing this often"
True, but to you, everytime that you two go out together seems new to you. There's always a fresh feeling in your chest whenever you get to spend your time with her, how I wish to call this 'in love' but you aren't. You just feel a genuine friendly love towards her, sometimes I wonder how you always get the girls that every man wishes to have.
After reaching her favorite ice cream shop, you two can't stop sharing what happened from your work. You two talked about the funny things that happened in your work, especially Irene's. Knowing how Redvelvet behaves, you aren't surprised. From how Joy teases her for being her mom, to how Seulgi cried because she was eliminated from their game.
After you two have spent your time eating and chatting, you have decided to visit a pet shop just for fun.
You walked around the shop and noticed a cute fluffy rabbit, you picked it up and gently placed your hand on its head- petting it lightly. You turned to look at your friend.
"This rabbit looks just like you, Hyun"
You chuckled so sweetly, Irene couldn't resist staring at your perfectly curved lips and your eyes that suddenly vanishes whenever you smile. To her you are a sight that she would never get tired of looking at.
After petting the animals in the store, you found a cute bunny ear headwear. With an idea in your head, you took it and gently placed it on Irene's head- surprising her a little, but she relaxed as she turned around seeing your lovely face.
"There. You are now an official rabbit!"
"You and your silly thoughts never fails to surprise me"
She shook her head and you just smiled. There it is again, your wonderful smile. As she was about to take it off, you gently placed your hand on top of her hand to stop her.
"No, don't take it off! You look cute with it"
Hearing those words from you made her blush. Sure, she always gets a never ending compliment from everyone, but with you? It's different. It's special. She then smiled and agreed to not take it off, if it means hearing more compliments from you.
While walking down the street, you suddenly felt a cold thing touch your nose. You looked up and noticed that it's snowing, your most favorite weather of all. But of course, you didn't forget about your friend. You immediately took off your coat and wrapped it around her shoulders.
"There, I wouldn't want my bunny to get cold"
"My bunny" Your words kept repeating in her head, making her blush from your sweet comment.
Truth to be told, she really likes you. No, she loves you. You always make her feel as if she is never alone, your kindness is overflowing and sometimes she worries about you being abused by people. You've always been her rock in times of trouble, but the main question is, what will she do if one day you suddenly vanish?
She looked at your side profile with pure admiration and love, as you keep talking about things. She can't stop wondering if you feel the same way, but of course you don't know that, your thoughts has no more space for romantic love. You've always been drowned in depressing thoughts and darkness, you're slowly losing your light.
You then looked at her and saw her staring at you.
"Is there something wrong, Hyun? Are you cold? Do you want me to buy heat packs?"
You care, you always do.
"Oh no, it's okay. I'm sorry I didn't mean to stare"
"It's okay, Hyun. At least I get to be stared at by the original visual"
You smiled at her as she chuckled from your silly but cute comment, then she stopped her tracks and looked at you again. It caused you to stop as well.
"Something wrong?"
She then closed the gap between you two and tiptoed just to reach your height. She gently brushed your hair and shook the snowflakes off your head, then fixed your hair afterwards.
"The snow is almost covering your hair"
"Then let me do this as well"
You did what she did to you as well, you gently brushed your hand on her hair and fixed it. Tucking the strands behind her ear.
It was a romantic scene to watch, probably one of the scenes that I liked in watching your movie. Sadly, you weren't able to notice how madly in love this woman is to you. You are such a dense creation of the universe.
As you two have reached her place, the smiles on your faces never left the both of you.
"Thank you for today, y/n"
"Of course, Hyun. I would love to go out with you even if it means going out everyday"
"Careful y/n, I might fall for you"
You chuckled.
"C'mon Hyun, we're friends! Besides..."
You placed your hand on her shoulder.
".... you deserve someone better"
Those words made her sad, she wanted to be with you for the rest of her life. Without knowing that your life will soon reach its end, nevertheless, it will still be a memorable one to be with you.
After a couple of minutes, she finally entered her place. Once again, you're alone with your dangerous thoughts. Your smiles instantly dropped and a sad look on your face instantly replaced the bright smiles that Joohyun loves to look at.
