Flashback - When Harry met Nia....

Nia is not a fan of house parties or parties in general. That phase died after she left school and she never really looked back. She has always been like that.

The moment she's done with something or someone, it's hard to give it a second chance.

You can imagine the annoyance of being dragged to a house party in broad daylight simply because Ekta met a girl and she insists on stealing that girl from the party today and today only.

And no, Nia wouldn't rather be curled up with a book or something deeper, she just wants to be with people she knows.

Right now, a lot of these faces seem like only faces you see in magazines and it makes her feel a little insecure. She wasn't given a heads up that Ekta's crush happens to be a celebrity chef and food photographer. Now, she's a little underdressed and overwhelmed.

To make things worse, Ekta is over the place and Zayn isn't here to keep her company. Nia stares at her glass of gin and tonic, and takes another swig. Might as well keep drinking till she's confident enough to go back home and not have a fight with Ekta.

Someone nudges her and she's relieved to see one of her best friends wiggling her eyebrows at her.

"Eks, where have you been?" Nia gulps down her drink.

"So...so I found her," Ekta avoids slurring through her light drunken heart.

"That's great. Get her and let's leave," Nia bites down her lip.

"No, not yet," Ekta frowns.

"Why not? Isn't that why we're here?" Nia asks.

"Yeah but she needs to find out who started this party," Ekta sighs.

Something doesn't add up and Nia controls herself before exhaling.

"Isn't this her place?" she groans in confusion.

"Yes, isn't it just the finest place you've seen in a while?" Ekta admires the beautiful space.

"Focus," Nia snaps her fingers to get her attention. "How - how does someone else start a party in your own home?"

"Celebs are crazy, deal with it," Ekta shrugs.

"That's not an answer, it makes no sense," Nia's accent gets deeper as she works through her anger.

"Oi, what are we supposed to do bout tha'?" Ekta steadies herself and folds her arms.

"Just get your girl and let's go back home," Nia replies.

"Will you be okay with us snogging like rabbits though?" Ekta smiles.

"Anything to get us out of here," Nia bites back with a smile.

"You're the best. Give me some minutes to butter her up," Ekta giggles and dances away.

The music softly booming in the background irritates Nia even more and she wonders if this is how celebrities really live their lives. Someone randomly enters your house and starts a daylight party with enough food and drinks to feed the nation.

Speaking of food, Nia decides to nibble on a few snacks. Anything to make her look engaging and not like the bore of the ball. For the most part, she's been awkwardly standing there with a frown on her face and it's starting to get her legs tired.

Nia piles her saucer with enough goodies and she picks up a bottle of water. Scanning around the room, there's no space to settle down and eat. This annoys her and she notices the garden area is strangely free and neat.
