the numbers on this book = we flopped so hard :'), i'm so sorry it's not my best work x

For the past few days, Nia has noticed something that's been a little unsettling. Harry has been avoiding her. He has been going out of his way to avoid conversations with her and be in the same space.

It's not the typical playful way of avoidance that leads to them reporting themselves to Zayn. He has also been avoiding Zayn.

Technically, he's avoiding everyone and not being expressive in any way possible. The phone rings till he puts it on airplane mode and he only steps out for his physical therapy before shutting himself out of the world and in his bedroom.

Nia has found it very uncomfortable and it's worse because she doesn't have the chance to bring this up with him.

This morning she's headed out for a breakfast date and she couldn't find him to check on him. The house manager played it cool by implying that the young man needs mental space as he gradually recovers and Nia didn't find it funny.

Either way, she knows she's coming back to meet him and she will have to confront him.

Stepping out of the house, she takes a short ride to the local café that's almost a walking distance from Harry's place but she needs to drive because some paps are still lurking.

Waiting for her is Rohan. Rohan looks fresh and handsome as they exchange a warm hug. Nia appreciates the hug as she leans into him and exhales when they pull away.

Rohan was smart enough to secure a private booth in the café and keep her away from busy people. They share a friendly smile and Nia relaxes into the comfortable cushion-like seat. He simply raises an eyebrow and passes her the menu.

"I want the shepherd's pie and a bottle of something dry," Nia pouts.

"You mean glass, right?" Rohan chuckles.

"Nope, bottle. I feel shitty," she shrugs.

"I saw your texts. Is this still about Harry?" he asks, concerned.

The server joins them and Rohan places the order. The kind server gives them a reasonable time frame and excuses them.

Some minutes later, the glasses of wine are served and Nia reaches for her without a pause.

"Yes, it's about him. I feel so weird not knowing what's going on," she says, taking a massive gulp of her wine.

Surely, it is as dry as she wants and it shoots into her soul. Nia nods in approval and adjusts on her seat.

"You mentioned making dinner for you two last night, how did that go?" he clears his throat, trying to help.

"I made delicious dinner and he simply asked the house manager to bring it into his room, this sucks and I hate it," she chuckles, bitterly.

"Okay hear me out and don't bite my head off, but this started after I sent you flowers, right?" Rohan asks.

"Rohan...," she groans.

"Just answer me, I'm trying to help a friend," he pleads.

"Fine. I guess it was after but I honestly don't see a connection," she rolls her eyes.

"But you mentioned still having feelings for him, remember?" he calmly stares at her.

Nia looks like she wants to fly out of her skin on hearing that and she loudly shushes him from repeating that information.

Okay fine, sometime ago she randomly admitted to still having feelings for Harry but she wanted that secret to stay dead. There's a reason why she didn't tell Zayn.
