Letter of Amour

chapter 16

I was waiting there for ash for a long time, it has been more than two hours sitting here. It was getting colder as the night passed. I hung there within my blanket preventing my body from escaping.

I didn't realize when my eyes shut down and I fell asleep there….

"Why hasn't he come yet!!"

"How would I know?" Said Dawn

"He will be penalized for making Serena wait!!" Said Calem

"But why are you all penalizing me…? Why do I need to spy them with you all? Can't I get sleep?" Said Drew

"Don't you want to see her meeting Ash after such a long time? Didn't you say that you want to meet him?" Asked May

"I sure did, but I can see him in the morning too…at least let me have some proper sleep" Drew said

" Ok" said May as she began thinking " you got three options, first to stay here and help us, second to go and sleep on that nearby bench in cold with creepy insect or third to get a tight punch that can knock you down and then we can place your unconscious body somewhere no one finds, then you will have a nice sleep"

" I'm fine here… better not to choose others" he replied

"Good"

"Serena?"

I felt like I heard someone's voice,

"Serena?"

A very familiar one…

I opened my eyes slowly as I could see someone walk up to me. I realized what I was here for, it must be him…

     
I see him taking baby steps towards me as I fix my hair from coming between my view.

With a slight bright moonlight coming from behind, I saw his face after years…

It was almost morning but the sun hadn't come yet and the night stayed there for a little longer.
 
"It has been a while, hasn't it?"

"It sure have been" I replied

" May I know from when you are waiting here?" He asked

"I just reached here, you don't need to think about being late" I replied

"Just reached? I believe you were waiting here for at least an hour or two" He said, I guess he knows me pretty well

"I guess I was excited to see you" I replied

"How have you been doing these years?" He questioned me as I offered a seat next to me. He looks kind of nervous to start a free conversation, that must to one reason to start a formal conversation

"I have been living a decent life, you know like I told you earlier" I replied "The feeling back in Kanto is not here"

"What about you?" I asked

"It's very wonderful there, I'm a bit sad for leaving that place" He replied

I noticed he hasn't removed his eyes from me yet. From the time we saw each other today, our eyes connected and not a single blink took place. I saw it in his eyes, there was a mild smile on his face with eyes half closed and half revealing as if he had something to say.

I wanted to know what he wanted to say. I was looking at him sitting next to me as I moved a bit closer to him.

"I wanted to say tha-" before he could complete, I heard grumbling from none other than his stomach. God, some things never changed. This made me giggle a bit.

"You know, people often get hungry after traveling" he said

"I know, not only people get hungry after traveling, you always get hungry between an important conversation" I giggled at his reaction

"It's kinda a embarrassing now I guess" he said

"It sure is" I said "I knew you would get hungry after traveling, I had some cookies for you"

We had a small talk while eating cookies.

"Let's go somewhere else" he said

We walked for a while when I remember what those two idiots said yesterday.

"When you go out for a date, go to a place you are familiar with. You must bring them to a place which you know about. This way you will be comfortable there. You don't need to worry about getting or you may already know someone or you might have some stories to tell about." James told

As we were walking, I saw the old school in which I used to study long ago. This could be a nice place to go.

It was a small building with a playground in front and there was a small garden on one side of the school.

"Hey Ash, look, that's the school I used to study at when I was a kid. I made my very first friends here. We used to race each other, play those little games and almost spend most of the time here" I spoke

"So it's the school you went to, it looks wonderful after all these years too" he said

"Wanna bring back some memories?" He said

"Huh?" I wasn't sure what he was talking about

"Let's do a race, the one who loses will get breakfast" he said

Really? Is this even a thing to do on the very first date? I know he doesn't see it as a date but we are alone and together and for the very first time!

"You know I would lose" I spoke

"I will give you head start of ten seconds, no 15 seconds" he spoke

Being overconfident? You will regret it.

"Sure"

And as per I said I won though I almost fainted…He was just a little bit behind me and thankfully held me back to the bench after the race. I felt that he held back as I'm sure before this I never won any race.

"You must have some memories about here?" He asked

"Well I have, it was the time when miette was here too. That time there was a piano in our music room and teachers allows students to play it. There was Calem who used to have crush on someone. I never got to know the name of the girl who he had crush on...He went and played the piano for her. It was great and the whole class clapped for him. He looked towards us and smiled. But, the whole class thought that he played it for miette which he not and Miette was there like a shy girl stood next to him. And the class was 'Oooooo……!! You got her' and Calem didn't liked Miette at all and acted as a gentleman playing along and ended up staying with her for the whole year" I told him the full story while laughing the whole time but I felt I didn't get to describe it that well.

I was a bit worried if he understood it or not as I didn't want to make him feel as if I'm taking to my self and forgetting about him.

I saw no reaction on his face and a complete blank face looking down.

"I'm sorry if I didn't ge-" before I could finish, he bursted into laugh

" I was just waiting to see your reaction" he said

"Let's get you the reward off the race you won"

Hello there,

It have been a while.
Well, I'm very late with this chapter, yep! I'm.
So what happened is that I was listening to a music while writing this and I just thought to write a poem along with it. And I wrote it, don't know where this thought came from. But at the end I got to..... stressed or embarrassed or something like that to show it here. It was the first poem I ever completed writing. So finally I ended up deleting it and writing this again.

I'm stuck a bit in this part too...
This is out of something I can write, so it's taking a lot of time...
