chapter 18- like you

It was a well going day, actually a superb day. One of the best days of my life. I'm finally with Ash, though for only a day but its better than nothing.

I was planning to spend the whole day with him alone but this oblivious person is unaware of my clear feelings and thoughts. Even by using common sends, someone can know this. And now, he wants to meet my mom. So we are on the way to my house. Oh, I wish! That mom isn't home.....that I already know that this isn't gonna come true.

We soon reached my house.

"Wow, this one is more bigger than the one you lived in Kanto" he said

"Yea, let's get inside" I said

I walked up to the door and opened it slightly as I peeped in.

"Hey mom" I nervously looked for her."Look, who is here" I spoke loudly to gain her attention as my nervousness increased. Wait. Why am I nervous? Shouldn't it be Ash to worry that he is meeting my mom for the first time here...

But I saw a faint smile on his face.

"Serena? You are back?" I heard her voice from some corner of the house.

"Yea, and I'm not alone" I said. Why did I say it like I want Ash to meet her

Soon she was visible and she saw my head peeping from the door.

"You know, you should open the completely. It might look weird if you keep peeping in like that" She said. Did it look wired?

Mom opened the door fully so that she could get a look of her so-called guest. My nervousness increased but Ash was like nothing happened.

"It have been a while Mrs Yvonne" He said

"Ash? It's you!" My mom spoke

"Yes, it's me. None other than Ash Ketchum" He said as he adjusted his cap and gave his signature pose. I thought he didn't do that pose any longer but it looks wonderful!!  as it was before. No, he looks so wonderful! No, He is wonderful!! I giggled at my thoughts.

"Is something wrong that matters Serena?" My mom asked

"You are giggling suddenly and now your face is red too" Ash said as he put his hand on my shoulder. Oh!! He touched me for the first time after coming here!!

What should I do? What should I do? What to do!! This day is just the best!! I wish time stops now and his hand stays at my shoulder forever.....

"Now you're sweating too, are you sick Serena?" He continued

"I…. I-..." What should I say…..

"Let me check" He put his hand on my forehead

My heart will jump off my chest….!!

"Your temperature isn't high but the sweating increased and your face is more red too" He said "I think you should rest and we cancel our tour"

Wha- No!! Don't cancel this tour!! I'm not sick, you are dense, dummy….!!

"No, I'm totally fine. I just remembered something" I said

"I'm glad that you are fine, but I think you should rest a bit" He said

I heard someone laugh, who was watching all this. Mom is going to have a long conversation after this. First she used to tease me with Calem, which was completely false. And now she is gonna do it with Ash which I can't deny, afterall, I love him so much. Just need to confess now.

"Why are we standing here….let's get in" I said. Perfect way to avoid the conversation for now.

I saw him looking at the pictures on the wall. Most of them were family pictures. Some of which were of Kanto, of our old house, my school, my friends and one with him. The one that was taken on the last day of the summer camp. I also got some of our school days too.
Thank goodness that I already removed most of his pictures from my room or god knows what he would think of me if he sees them. By the way, I don't have many pictures of him, only a few dozen and some under my pillow I guess…….
