Melissa and Aaron looked out to the shores of Starlight, which where getting further and further away.
"Goodbye, Aphmau. Stay strong," Melissa whispered. A tear fell down her cheek.
They stood in silence. So much had happened. So many things confused them. So many things hurt them. Everything seemed so broken.
After what seemed like an eternity of silence, Aaron sighed.
Melissa looked at him with concern. "Aaron?" she said.
"How am I going to tell her?" he said, with a troubled look on his face.
"Tell who?"
"I won't be able to talk to her anymore..."
"What are you talking about?" Melissa asked gently.
He hesitated, then spoke. "Shu..."
"Uh... S-Shu?" Melissa said with a confused look.
"She was- a great friend of mine. But I don't know how I can speak to her again. Or... even see her online. It's been so long." he said, sadly.
"You... never told me about this friend..."
"I-I'm sorry. I don't know if I should've."
Melissa paused to think. "Aaron... whoever she is, if that's what you want to do, I'll see what I can arrange." Her mood seemed to brighten.
Aaron smiled a little and nodded.
He remembered something, Melissa thought. Maybe not everything is lost...
The boat sped away as Starlight dissolved into the sparkling horizon.
