iris woke up at the sound of her annoying alarm, piercing the calm silence with the signal to wake up and start the day. she groaned as she reached a hand lazily to try to turn it off without looking, which failed.
sighing in a defeated tone, she got up and put on her round golden-frame glasses. she looked at the alarm clock, which read 7:30. she clicked the "turn off" button, which brought back the peaceful silence. she got up and stretched with a yawn.
she opened the soft cream white curtains covering her small square window to let the sun pour in. her view were the vast pine trees gating the mystic wonderland called the woods. every weekend she would journey with warner to explore the woods. but today, unfortunately, was not saturday nor sunday.
she looked longingly at the woods for a few seconds, then remembered she needed to feed warner. she walked to her tiny kitchen and took out a baby blue dish displaying a cartoon fish. she grabbed one of the many wet cat food containers (which was pre-measured) and placed it onto the dish. she set the dish down onto the floor in the corner, where warner was waiting.
she walked into her bathroom and turned on the flower-shaped led light. she looked into the mirror and ran a hand through her chin-length, fluffy, auburn hair. she started her daily health care routine before school.
once she finished, she opened her armoire, grabbed a white ankle-length dress with white see-through sleeves that reached her forearms and a white ribbon lace accented as a corset on the front, and went to change.
once she changed, she put on some light, soft makeup that accented her golden-brown eyes. she checked her rose-gold flower-shaped watch, which read 8:00. the bus would be arriving soon. so she grabbed her white backpack, which included all of her necessary school things, and her keys to her house, pat warner good-bye, then headed out the door.
