𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘦𝘳 1- Sushi night

"REECE! get your ass over here"
"Oh my God JJ what the hell do you want?"
"Fine then be a bitch"
I see JJ running towards me in full speed
"AHHH NO" I scream already knowing what he's about to do
JJ grabs my book out of my hands and throws it "what the hell  JJ you lost my page"
"Too bad you should've listened to me"
I feel JJ pull me up with his sandy hands and throws me over his shoulder.  He's dying laughing he thinks this is the funniest shit ever.
"I hate you, you know that?" I say jokingly
"No, you don't princess you love me"
I squirm at his words, he's always called me that and I love it
Before I get to say anything he throws me in the water my mouth wasn't closed so I get a mouth full of saltwater yum.
I swim to the top of the water and JJ's hands wrap around my waist, when I open my eyes he moves the hair out of my face and tucks it behind my ears.
"You look so beautiful like this Reece"
I'm blushing so hard he says the sweetest things
I always wonder why we aren't dating yet, I mean we do EVERYTHING a couple does. I think I'm just scared for us to ruin our friendship.
" what are you thinking about Reece- E," JJ asks
" I'm thinking about us going for lunch I'm starving!!"
" Haha of course you are you're always hungry"
"Ugh, are you calling me fat?" I say jokingly I know JJ would never
" Hell no I love your body," JJ says with a wink at the end
" Woahhh! Chill their J" he rolls his eyes
"ok, what do you want to eat?"
" sushi for sure" sushi is the most amazing food ever.
"hmm anything for you darling" JJ Says I swear I melted right there
"Great let's go!"
"We should invite kie, Jhon B, pope, and Sarah we haven't hung out with them in a while."
"Yes, that sounds so fun."
J calls the group and they all agree with going out for sushi so JJ and I leave and meet them there.
We kind of do our own thing most of the time so it's nice to hang out with them
"Reece!" Kiara yells from across the parking lot
"Kie come over here!!"
" Oh my God, I've missed you so much. JJ stop stealing my girlfriend,"
"Mmm, you know me and Reece would look way better together"
They finish up their "conversation" when the rest of the group comes up to us
"Holy shit! you guys look amazing!" I say to Jhon B and Sarah when they walk over to us in their matching silk red outfits, Sarah has a red silk mini dress on, and Jhon B has a black suit with red silk pockets"
"Damn if I knew the couples were dressing up I would've got Reece in a dress," JJ says while eyeing my figure, probably imagining me in a skin-tight dress and matching him In a suit. Not going to lie, I was doing the same.
"Um yeah what the heck Sarah and JB nobody was planning on dressing up" kie adds
"Sorry we just wanted to look better than you guys," Jhon B said
"Let's go eat SUSHI!" Kie says
"Yesss" I agree
We walk in and people look at us, we're used to it since we are pouges on figure 8.
" what the hell? Are those pouges" I hear a boy say
"Fuck yeah!" Kie yells back
I glance at kie and giggle Sarah does the same. Kie has always been the bold one she'll say whatever is on her mind
"Let's not make a scene kie." John B says looking embarrassed by what kie said
"Why do you care JB"
"I care because my boss and Sarah's dad is sitting right across the restaurant so please shut up and don't worry about them"
"Damn someone is real serious today," JJ says and I nod my head in. agreement. I don't know what got into JB ever since he got that stupid job from Ward Cameron he's been no fun, he's kinda acting like a kook.
" Hi I can get you guys seated, are you all together?" our waitress says when it's our turn to be seated.
"Yes ma'am" Jhon B responds while fixing his suit
We follow the waitress to our table, it's round and one big enough to fit all 6 of us. Wait 6? I haven't seen Pope since we got here.
"Guys where is Pope?" I ask
"Uh probably in the bathroom or something," Sarah says
" SHIT! shit shit!" JJ says looking worried he pushes all of us trying to get out of the table "JJ, what's wrong??" he doesn't respond and runs through the restaurant and knocks over a waitress plate of food she was giving to a customer "I'm so sorry about that ill pay for it!" I apologize while I'm trying to follow JJ and see what's happening
When I push through the doors I hear JJ yelling "I swear to God ill kill your ass"
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!" I can't see the person who is beating up JJ because it's too dark but when a car passes by with their headlights on I see his face.  Rafe Cameron
I get a little scared because rafe would kill JJ or hurt him greatly
"Reece go inside," JJ says sternly I know he doesn't want me to get hurt but I can't watch him get beat up and not do anything , I know he would do the same if it were me.
"Get off of him damnit!" I spat and jump on rafe trying to pull him off of JJ, JJ is bleeding from his mouth and nose and I can't watch this
"REECE go inside now and I swear to God rafe if you touch her-"
Before JJ can finish rafe grabs my arms from his neck where I'm
Putting him in a chokehold to distract him from knocking the shit out of JJ, he flips me over hard on the concrete parking lot.
"Ahhh shit" I scream in pain, I can already feel the bruises developing on my back
"Oh my God Reece!" Sarah says running towards me
"RAFE WHAT THE FUCK" Sarah says reaching out for my arm I can't get ahold of it for some reason my vision is blurring
"JJ NO" I hear Pope yell. He's been here the whole time but rafe threw him in his truck and locked him in there. God, I don't even want to think about what that psycho was planning on doing to him.
JJ pulls a gun out of his backpack and cocks it, before he can shoot Jhon B comes from behind him and takes the gun.
Rafe gets off the ground and runs to his truck he knew what JJ would have done do him if he was there any longer
"I'll kill you next time and your whore as a girlfriend JJ" rafe yells while driving off
that kind of hurt, rafe and me sort of had a thing a couple of summers back mostly just hookups but I'm not a whore.
JJ is just standing there, he looks lifeless but he comes back to reality when I yell out in pain I got a sharp pain in my spine from rafe throwing me.
"O-oh my God Reece, I am so sorry this happened," he says with tears in his eyes. He feels guilty.
He lifts me off of the hard rocky parking lot and carries me to JB's car
"Babe lift up the back of your shirt let me see what your back looks like," JJ says, I feel a lot better that he is holding me
I lift my arm to take my shirt off but it hurts so bad "oww"
"I'll do it stay still Reece," Sarah says and comes over to take off my shirt
I feel the cloth on my back lift and it hurts like hell, I'm scared to see what the damage was
"Jesus, Reece we need to go to my house ill clean this up," Sarah says
"Is it bad?" I ask nervously
"No it's not as bad as I thought but I need to clean the cuts and you need to lay down that will probably hurt for a while" Sarah has been helping at the hospital every day after school training to be a nurse when we graduate. I'm glad to have her here
"I should have killed that bitch right there, put my gun to his head and ended his pathetic life. I can't believe he did this to you Reece." JJ says angrily
"JJ, I'm fine and I got him to stop hurting you it was worth it he would've killed you"
"He could've killed you to Reece I'm fine I can take care of myself I always have."
He meant his dad
"JJ I can't sit there and watch you get yourself killed. What did you even do to piss him off so bad?"
" I took money from his drug dealer friend, but he deserved it he tried to take the gold remember?"
"Oh yeah, Barry but J you can't mess with drug dealers and psychos like rafe and barry even if they deserve it they will kill you with no remorse"
"Yeah, I'm sorry Reece I won't ever put you in danger again. I thought I was doing the right thing, getting justice for all of the shit rafe has pulled."
" No J you're not understanding what I'm telling you, you need to stop putting yourself in danger too you know me, JB, Pope, Sarah, and kie couldn't live knowing you were hurt or killed. Please be more careful I care about you so much"
" Ok I understand Reece thank you for being there for me always"
JJ hugs me, we hug for what seems like a lifetime but it was needed after what just happened.
"Aye! No one said we were having a group hug" JB yells out
"Its cause were not. Leave me alone with my lady" JJ says back
"Too late!" Says Sarah and Kiara
All of our pouge friends come and join our hug. I love them so much.
We never ended up getting our sushi because we stayed in the parking lot for hours talking, it felt amazing I didn't realize how much I missed the bond I had with my friends, not even friends, family.

I'm so so sorry for how long it took me to finish this chapter I've been so busy with school and I start my new job next week! My goal is to add a chapter to this book and my partner in crime every day but I might not be able to, I'll try my best.
