AN: Sorry the chapters are so far apart, work really takes up a lot of my time. I will try and update as fast as I can.
The ninja arrived at the capital of Ninjago, New Ninjago City. They stopped in front of city hall, where their presence was requested by the mayor. The Ninja climbed out of the land rover they used the night prior and walked up the steps to the main entrance of the large building. Lloyd opened a door and held it open for his friends before he closed it behind him.
Lloyd walked up to the front desk and spoke with the receptionist, his voice low as to not disturb the near silence of the building.
"Uh we were requested by the mayor?" He said through the fabric of his green mask.
"Yes, take the elevator to the top floor and go through the large wooden doors" The woman said with a smile at the green ninja as she looked up from her computer.
"Thank you" Lloyd said as he turned to face the group "Let's go guys" he said and lead the team to the elevators
Nya pressed the call button for the elevator and sighed as they waited for the elevator to arrive.
"What do you think the mayor wants us to do?" Nya asked to the group as she watched the numbers count down on the screen of the elevator.
"I am unsure" Zane replied "perhaps reconnaissance around the docks or extra support on fleets" Zane suggested with a shrug as he looked to the other ninja and his partner PIXAL.
"Maybe, or maybe she wants us to head out to sea, figure out head on what's the problem" Cole suggested as the elevator dinged to announce its arrival.
The group filed into the elevator and waited for it to head to the top floor. It was a mostly quiet ride up, aside from the faint elevator music and the occasional ding as they passed each floor. Jay was the first to break the silence from the team as they slowly moved up.
"So, any other ideas on what the mayor may need us for?"
"She said it was regarding the missing ships, but what she wishes from us, I am uncertain" Sensi replied as he stroked his beard
"Maybe she wants us to keep ships from launching?" Kai asked with a shrug as he looked at the group
"I feel like it will be either recon or traveling to the island" Nya replied as the doors of the elevators opened to the top floor.
The hall was a bright white with flickering fluorescent lights and an old maroon coloured carpet, for the city hall of new Ninjago City, it was old fashioned.
As the Ninja walked through the hall to the double wooden doors that lead to the mayor's office, they looked at the many framed photos on the wall, some in black in white and faded colour from older times when Ninjago city was first founded; there were photos of the ninja after their greatest feats, the great devourer, the overlord, and many others.
Lloyd walked up to the wooden doors and knocked three times, then waited for a few moments for permission to enter. Once granted, the team walked into the office of the mayor and spread out. They gave a respectful bow before Lloyd straightened and spoke first.
"You requested our presence sir?"
"Yes, I did" The mayor said as he stood up from the oak wood desk and clasped his hands together behind his back as he looked at the group of ninjas and their master. "As you know, ships have been going missing, from fishing boats, to trading ships, even small ferries. I want you to try and figure out what's happening to them, I want you to monitor the piers, see if anything goes wrong or if anyone suspicious gets aboard the ships. Maybe have a few follow the ships but stay far enough away to not draw attention; we don't want to scare away the traders or any tourists." The mayor said as he looked the six ninjas.
