Journey to the Hidden World

Chapter 3

Zyron's Pov

When we reached the bottom of the stairs, there was a hallway and a door at the end of it. We reluctantly walked towards the silver door and I opened the door, revealing another library. But it was massive!

"Woah! Another library!" Seph exclaimed. I rolled my eyes as we walked around. We continued checking out the library, until Mari called us with a book in her hands.

"What's up, Mari? Found something?" Seph exclaimed.

"Calm down, Sepperio." I scowled, he stuck his tongue at me which I glared back.

Mari chuckles, "I found this book! It's called 'Journey To The Hidden World'." She opens the book and saw a note on the first page.

'I don't have much time left, their coming. If anyone finds this note, please do your best to find them. Once you read the book, everything will all make sense. He's coming to get me as I'm the only one left. M.'

We looked at each other.

"Shall we open the book?" Seph asked.

"I don't know guys, I have a terrible feeling about this..." Mari hesitantly said.

"Relax, Mari. Zy will be there to kick some ass!" Seph exclaimed as I scowled at him. Mari opened the first chapter of the book, we curiously looked over her shoulders.

"My crew and I are currently heading to the South Mountain, we are currently finding a witch named Melody, to help us find cure for an unknown disease that suddenly hit Quastus." As Mari was reading that, the room suddenly lit up and everything turned white.

I suddenly woke up when I felt like I was lying on a rocky ground, which was weird since the library floor was tiled. After a minute, I realized that I really was laying on the ground.

"What the-? Seph? Mari? Where are you guys?" I exclaimed. There was trees around me and there were no signs of either of them. Suddenly, letters started appearing in front of me.

'My crew and I arrived at South Mountain, we managed to find the witch, Melody, and she wasn't really fond of humans I tell ya that. It wasn't easy but we managed to convince her to help us, in exchange, we buy her a good amount of supplies if the people of Quastus were healed.' 

I stared at the letters as it slowly disappeared into thin air. Who was the person writing this? Apparently, witches exist. Does that mean magic also exist? She could be a witch that uses potions but still.

Those kind of thoughts were in my head when I saw a pillar of water suddenly emerged not too far from where I was. It was from a river nearby. Part of me said to run away, but the other half wanted me to check it out. Since I'm curios, I decided to follow the latter.  So I run to where the pillar of light was coming from, and there I saw a purple haired girl fighting of some black creatures, they look like tigers, using the water around her. A purple haired girl? 

She looked like Mari, but she had straight hair and she looked older than Mari. Could it be...?
I was currently hiding behind a bush so she didn't saw me yet. That is until I heard a growl behind me and I turned around to see 2 of those black creatures ready to rip me to shreds. Before I could make a move, Mari-look-a-like sent waves of water and killed the black tiger- creature.

She looked surprise and shock seeing me, but she snapped out of it and sent a huge wave finally killing all of those things. After that, she walked up to me, cautiously, she asked, "Are you perhaps Zyron Lumiere?"

I raised a brow and slowly nodded.

"Yes, I am Zyron Lumiere. You look like someone I know, but older looking." I answered. Her eyes were filled with relief, nostalgic, happiness, but there was also fear, hesitation and grief in her eyes. So many mixed emotions.

I was gonna ask who she was when my head suddenly hurt and I fell on my knees, I heard her call to me but I couldn't hear a thing. My vision suddenly turned black, as blurry images kept appearing in my head like a wave.

"Kill him, Terror!"

"No! I can't do it! He's my friend!"

Another one appeared.

"Are you sure that was the right thing to do?"

"It was the only way, Terror."

Who is this Terror?

Short. I know. But it was the only thing I could think of right now. I tend to write last minute as I am very lazy but still want to try writing a book. I'll make sure the next chapter will be longer than this, at least I hope so. Writer's block sucks T^T. Vote and comment for suggestions and bluntly point out my mistakes. Peace!
