Narrator's pov
Trudy lights another cigarette as she buys herself over the stove, carefully making a mask for Vincent, who was quietly humming as he ate his breakfast of Cherrios in his high chair.
"Do you want some more sweetie? You're such a good boy." She smiles at the three-year old. Vincent smiles back at his mother a little. He was a shy child, even at home.
The soft comfortable sounds of the morning are shattered by piercing screams as Victor carries in a thrashing Bo into the kitchen.
"He's... being a real monster... again today!" He grunts as he pushes the flailing child into his high chair. Bo kicks and screams angrily, he kicks and hits his twins chair, spilling Vincent's cereal a bit at the same time he hits the table where Trudy had laid the mask she'd made, and it falls to the floor, the mold smashing into pieces.
"Oh,Can't you be more careful?" She snaps at her husband, walking over and restraining Bo.I'm trying!" Victor yells as the boy struggles against the restraints his parents strap him in on a daily basis.
Bo screams in pain as the leather digs into his already scarred wrists. Trudy and victor receive several blows from their son, as they continue to restrain his legs as well."WHY CAN'T YOU MORE LIKE YOUR BROTHER?!" Trudy yells.
Trudy screams as her son manages to scratch her arm, drawing blood. She retaliates instinctively and slaps Bo across the face. He finally stops thrashing but keeps crying angrily in silence, the three of them breathing heavily from the ordeal.
"I should of thought of that from the start." Victor says, as he glares at Bo, who glares back at his parents. Vincent watches his family wearily. He had tears in his eye. He hates seeing his brother treated that way. He knew bo was mad because he hated being woken up in the morning.
But the Sinclair adults didn't understand their son. They didn't realize just how true the doctors warnings about the twins' surgery had been. The operation had caused some problems in both boys. For bo, it had caused him to have difficulty controlling his emotions. Weather he was happy, sad, scared, or mad, he felt these emotions extremely strong, and for a child his age, he didn't know how to cope or control himself, which gave off the impression that he was a poorly behaved boy.
For Vincent, he was a bit on the slow side, and couldn't really talk well, for he had a speech impediment. His behavior was very distinct from his twin brother, while bo felt emotions extremely strong, Vincent would be really numb to them. He felt his emotions with very very little intensity, only feeling them strongly during times like this when there was tension and fighting.
The Sinclairs welcomed a third son when the twins were six years old. They names the child Lester. Lester was a very happy bubbly child. As the boys grew up, both Vincent and Lester were doted upon by their parents, mostly their mother. Victor was more strict and being a man of very short words and temper, he was mostly in the background, he did however sometimes take time to play ball with or hunt with his sons.
Sadly, Bo grew up with very little to no affection from either of his parents. His brothers were the main concern of Trudy and Victor while bo was treated like a little soldier. He was expected to look after his brothers and everytime he so much as stepped one toe out of line... Well let's just say there were severe consequences.
He would've hated his brothers, had it not been for their humbleness. Both Vincent and Lester loved and cared for Bo and they actually got along quite well. Of course there were arguments but they weren't big or often and the three of them knew what would happen to Bo if their parents found them fighting.
