*VINCENT'S POV*

After school, I didn't really wanna deal with Bo's sure-to-be firey temper, so I decide to head over to the old wax museum. Although papa helped momma with it, it belonged mosstly to her, and she was the one who spent the most time there. I rememeber she would take me there and teach me all that I know about art. I like to think of it as a gift she left behind for me. It was my favorite place to go to forget about the world.

The museum was like a magical place for me where I wasn't a monster. I as treted well at home, but I never had any private time tio myself, what with all the people living in that small house. Im extremely happy to have a big loving family, but I also like to be alone with my thoughts sometimes.  I think momma was like that as well, athough she was vry charming and charasmatic, alot like Bo is when he wants to be.

Im leaving the history classroom when I hear Cassie call for me. Ï turn  around and watch as she catches up.

"Where's the fire?" she asks.

"Bo's mad at me." I shrug.

"Ah I see."  her tone is calm and understanding.

"you heading to the house of wax?" she knows me well.  I nod.

"oh, okay, enjoy." she waves with a smile, turning to leave, but I place my hand on her shoulder.

"You wanna come see?" I ask.

"Sure, if you dont mind. I know you like your alone time."

"It's okay, I wanna show you my new project." I tell her. she smiles brightly and nods. We keep walking to the back of the school

If I could describe Cassie in one word it would be Sunshine. She just has this aura of warmth and joy to her. Also her hair is golden like the sun and her smile and piercing blue eyes brighen any room she walks into. It's hard to be in a bad or sad mood with her around, which is another reason I want her to tag along with me. I could use a bit of that warm feeling right now.

People give us eird looks as we walk through the hall, they still aren't used to th fact that Cassie and I are best friends. Although I'm pretty sure that they think I have a crush on her. I honestly don't, although I sometimes wish I did cause at least she wouldnt tease and rub it in my face about how repulsive I am to even think of ever finding anyone in their right mind who'd date a monster like me.

Katherine either interacts with me by bullying merciclessly or evil teasing. I honestly dont know why I like her at all. Maybe its cause I know she wasn't always like that. She used to be really sweet and shy up until last year when her father was arrrested. Word on thee street is he was involved in a bad buisness. But I think theres something else that we don't Know.

When Cassie and I reach the back lot of the school, I immediately spot Katherine and her group surrounding her recently aquired car. I don't know what type of car it is; I've never been a big fan of cars, but Bo sure does love cars, he'd know immediately which one it is.

As we pass by, Katherine notices us and calls out to Cassie.

"Hey Cassie! you wanna go with us to test drive my new car?"

Cassie  was never outright rude to people, but she had a way to deal with bullies and hypocrites like Katherine.

"That's a beautiful car, Katherine. I do have to apologize in advance, Vincent and I have to decline the invite, we have a previous engagement to attend to. Perhaps next time?"  She alays used a formal way of speaking to people he didn't consider friends, and no trace of her natural missisippi twang in her voice.
