Narrator's pov:

Time passed, thankfully Bo and Vincent were both growing up healthy, due to the constant care of their parents. Everything went well at first; and the Sinclair family shared some special moments together. Unfortunately, the good times were far and few in between as the days went by. Vincent came down with a terrible fever and spent days in bed.

Trudy was able to nurse him back to health but the illness had left the four-year-old unable to speak. Bo didn't go through the same infirmity as his twin, but he had started to act out more and more. He went from a bubbly smiley little boy to an extremely temperamental one.

Victor and Trudy both thought it was normal and his tantrums were harmless at first, but Bo became progressively more aggressive each day. Bo would throw a fit over the simplest of things, especially when his mother used him to make a mask mold for Vincent. Bo became so uncontrollable that his parents had to resort to tying him up whenever he had one of his episodes.

They didn't want to go to other doctors because they knew Bo would be deemed mentally ill and taken to a place where lobotomies and electric shock therapy were practiced to cure patients like him. They knew tying him up wasn't the best idea, but they thought it was better than going to a mental asylum.

Not only that, they were afraid of being labeled as bad parents and have not only Bo but Vincent and their third son, Lester, would also be taken away from them and they weren't going to allow it.

Trudy lights another cigarette as she buys herself over the stove, carefully making a mask for Vincent, who was quietly humming as he ate his breakfast of Cheerios in his high chair.

"Do you want some more sweetie? You're such a good boy." She smiles at the three-year old. Vincent smiles back at his mother a little. He was a shy child.

The soft comfortable sounds of the morning are shattered by piercing screams as Victor carries in a thrashing Bo into the kitchen.

"He's... being a real monster... again today!" He grunts as he pushes the flailing child into his high chair.

Bo flails and screams angrily. He kicks and hits his twins chair, spilling Vincent's cereal a bit at the same time he hits the table where Trudy had laid the mask she'd made, and it falls to the floor, the mold smashing into pieces.

"Oh, can't you be more careful?" She snaps at her husband.

"I'm trying my best why don't you help?" Victor yells as the boy struggles against the restraints his parents strap him in on a daily basis.

Bo screams in pain as the leather digs into his already scarred wrists. Trudy and victor receive several blows from their son, as they continue to restrain his legs as well.

"WHY CAN'T YOU MORE LIKE YOUR BROTHER?!" Trudy yells.

Trudy screams as her son manages to scratch her arm, drawing blood. She retaliates instinctively and slaps Bo across the face. He finally stops thrashing but keeps crying angrily in silence, the three of them breathing heavily from the ordeal.

"I should of thought of that from the start." Victor says, as he glares at Bo, who glares back at his parents. Vincent watches his family wearily. He had tears in his eye. He hates seeing his brother treated that way.

Just then, Lester starts crying in the nursery. Trudy stands up to go to him, but stumbles and faints suddenly. Victor is able to catch her before she hits her head on the floor.

"Trudy? Honey, wake up, please." Victor pleads. She remains unresponsive.

He glares at Bo, who was finally calm. Victor notices the boy had tears streaming down his face. Bo didn't understand why his parents were so rough with him and he definitely didn't understand why he felt so much anger. Victor can't help but relent a bit at his son's expression. He saw a lot of himself when he looked at Bo. Maybe that's why he had a short temper with the boy.

Victor shakes his head and sighs, turning back to his wife. Victor was sure that all the bad things that his family went through was punishment for all the things he'd done in the past

Little did he know, this was only the beginning...
