"Daddy can I get a popper?" Emma asked me

"Yes baby, let daddy finish ordering first okay?"

"Okay."

I only been up to the mall a few times since the breakup. Sometimes I walk past her store but I never see her so I guess she doesn't work there anymore.

"Can I get anything else for you sir?" The cashier said

"Um Emma do you..." I began to say "Emma?"

Looking down I see she no longer is standing beside me. Looking around I see that she was taking off around the corner. I told her about running off like that. Jogging around the corner to catch up to her I hear her giggle.

"I missed you!" I heard her say

Missed who?

"Emma!" I shouted "Didn't I tell you to stop runn-..."

Sophia.

I watched as she kissed Emma's cheek as Emma rested her head on her shoulder clinging to her. She's been asking for Sophia non-stop since we broke up. Anytime she'd come to my place and see she wasn't there she'd pout and question me like she was the FBI. She missed her.

I did too.

Sophia looks good...

Fuck it she looks great. Her curly hair was hanging past her shoulders now and it look like she gained some weight in all the right places. The gray leggings and skin tight jacket she was wearing was showing off all her curves. Only she could make something so simple look so good. Approaching the two of them Sophia looks up at me. I'm so used to her seeing me and giving me her famous dimpled smile but no emotion was behind the look she was giving me right now.

"Daddy I found Sophia!" Emma smiled

"I see that." I said "You need to stop running off though."

"I'm sorry daddy." She said resting her head back in the crook of Sophia's neck

"She's gotten so big." Sophia said "She speaks so well now too."

"Yeah." I laughed a little "Too grown for her own good."

Sophia smiled a bit before putting Emma down in front of the mirror in the store. Emma looked at herself making crazy faces as Sophia watched laughing. I couldn't stop staring at her. I always asked myself what I would say if I saw her again. But no words came to me in this moment accept for Sorry. Sorry I hurt her. Sorry for all the things I said. Sorry for being the reason that we were no longer together.

"You just gonna stare at me, or actually say something?" Sophia asked now looking at me.

"My bad." I said "I didn't know you still worked here."

"Barely." She said "I only come in when they need me, I have another job."

She was working two jobs? She done bossed up on a nigga.

"Sophia look!" Emma said spinning in a circle "I'm a ballerina."

"I see baby!" Sophia smiled

"How have you been?" I asked

"Do you really wanna know?" She asked

"I do actually."

"I'm fine." She said

I know she wasn't fine though. I could see right through the wall she was trying to put up. I wasn't going to push it though.

"She always asks about you, you know?" I said changing the subject "She calls me a meanie for not letting her see you."

"That's my girl." Sophia laughed a little

There was so much more I wanted to say to her but this wasn't the time nor the place.

"Come on Emma, Sophia has to work."

"Nooo I don't wanna leave." Emma whined clinging to Sophia's leg

"Emma don't start."

"Can't I just stay with her Daddy?" She begged "I'll be good."

"Your daddy is right baby I do have to work." Sophia said squatting down to Emma's level "But you will see me again, I promise."

"Do you pinky promise?" Emma asked

"I pinky promise." Sophia smiled latching their pinkies together

"I'm taking her to go play at Lava Island this weekend, you should come." I spoke up

Emma would love to spend a day with her. I would too.

"I don't kn-..."

"Please Sophia!" Emma begged "Pleaaaasseeeeeee."

"Okay I'll come, only for you though."

"Yay!" Emma clapped

"Just text me the details." She said

"You would have to unblock me, in order for me to do that you know."

"I changed my number actually." She said

Well damn.

I hand her my phone allowing her to put her new number in it. I can't believe she changed her number. I mean I reached out to her a few times asking if she was okay. Then one night I texted her I miss you. Now it made sense why I never heard back from her.

"I see you didn't change my contact." Sophia said handing me my phone

"Never felt the need too."

Sophia's number has been saved under the name Chocolate Puddin since I met her. One of the first things I noticed about her was her skin. She was chocolate and her skin was smooth like pudding. It may sound stupid but Sophia thought it was cute nevertheless.

"Bye Sophia." Emma said stretching her arms out

"Bye babygirl." Sophia said picking her up

She attacked Emma's face with kisses making her squeal and laugh before putting her back down.

"It was good to see you." I said "You look great."

"It's good to be seen." She replied smartly

She was still a smart ass. But it was one of the many things I love about her.

"Come on Emma, let's go get you that popper."

"Popper!" She smiled excitedly
