I was back in my normal attire with a brown vest, white button up, and black leggings. "Is this really the time for a game of chess?" Ciel asked as I stood next to him. "Obsessing about it won't help you solve the case. Why not just leave it all to Sebastian, dear?" Madam Red said as I walked over to the demon. I poked both of his sides as he jumped a little, almost dropping his book as I covered my mouth with a soft giggle.

"Cause he's simply my chess piece. I control him. I'm the one who moves him by giving orders, but he's no ordinary piece. He can move as money squares as he needs to. Like that." Ciel said and knocked Madam Red's queen as she gasped. "That was against the rules, you know." She said and sat her queen back up. "Indeed. It would be if this was a game. But rules such as that have no true meaning in the real world." Ciel said with a slight smirk.

"There are always knights who break the rules and pawns who betray. If you let your guard down, it's checkmate." He said and checkmated Madam Red. I felt my sides being poked and jumped and looked to see Sebastian with a cheeky smile. "You must've had other options besides policing England's underworld. I'm sure my sister, your mother, wanted something else for you and yet after their deaths, you return to be the Queen's guard dog. Is it cause you're trying to avenge your parents murders?" Madam Red asked as I leaned on Ciel's chair.

"The need for revenge is a funny thing. It won't bring back the dead nor will it bring happiness. But then, to answer your question, I didn't return the house of Phantomhive for our parents. I did it for Ella and myself. I want to find the people responsible for that night and I want then to experience the same pain and humiliation that I suffered." Ciel said as I gently ruffled his hair. "I still remember when Ella was born. Though it seems so long ago. She was so tiny and fragile. You both were." She said and stood up.

"I remember thinking, 'No matter what, I must protect them.'" She said and gently wrapped an arm around me and placed a hand on Ciel's head. "You know, I was never able to have children, but there was you guys and I've come to think of you as my own children. Which is why I wish you would quit this." She said softly as Ciel moved her hand. "This is a task I freely chosen. It's still my choice to make and no one else's. I don't regret my decision and I won't be cuddled." Ciel said sternly as Madam Red looked sad.

It was time for Madam Red to leave as I helped Sebastian lead her out. "Thank you, I have it now." She said, putting on her coat. "My lady." Sebastian said softly. "Promise me. Say you'll never leave their side. This is a dangerous world for children. Make sure they don't lose their way." Madam Red said as she gently rubbed my head while I smiled softly. Sebastian knelt down with his head bowed. "Fear not. I swear. I shall stay by their side until the very end." Sebastian said as I placed a hand on his back.

"I trust him with my life, Aunty Red." I said with a smile as Sebastian raised his head and smiled at me. Sebastian stood up and headed to Ciel's room as I looked out into the rain. "Don't think about it, my dear. You were sick last night. Don't want that to happen again." Sebastian said as I sighed and shut the door. I went to the kitchen and found a banana, peeling it. I was about to take a bite when my sides were poked.

I let out a startled scream and ended up tossing my banana on the ground. "Awe, my banana." I said with a pout as Sebastian chuckled softly. "Sorry, my dear. Your brother wants us to stake out a place when the rain let's up a little." He said as he handed me a gun. "You do know how to use one, right?" He asked with a slight smirk. I took it and rolled my eyes before stick it in my best. "Obviously. I'm not 5." I said and crossed my arms.

"My, with that tone, I may have to remind who you're talking to." He said, gripping my chin lightly as I blushed deeply. "You wanted lay a hand on me." I said with a confident smile. "Oh? And what makes you say that, darling?" He asked, leaning in as he placed his other hand on my hip while using a new name. "B-Because you would've done so already." I said as his eyes glinted fusa. "If you say so, my dear." He said and pulled away with a smirk as I knew my face was beat red.
