Solaraiah Faye relaxed in her own space, a brief blip of time, hidden between worlds. She was lazing around, contemplating her existence as she always did every few hundred years. What else was there to do? She'd lived such a long life and seen almost everything there was to see. She'd given birth to many children and caused a few wars only to end them after a while.
Honestly, those she'd regretted a little. But she was so bored sometimes. Next to her, her two loyal companions eyed here, shaking their fury heads. About a hundred years ago, Solariah had decided she wanted companions, two large wolves, or canines as they were referred to on the primitive planet of earth in a backwards time zone. How were these people so happy at times, she wondered?
Her companions yawned and rolled over on their backs. Kane and his mate Ayea were gorgeous animals who had the ability to speak to her mentally, and control her power when she was being careless. They'd gotten her out of some dangerous situations when she was being a bit scattered brained from boredom.
"We should go down to the earth forests to run," Ayea said to Solaraiah. "I do enjoy a good run."
Solaraiah could get the hint. Her companions loved Earth, as well, she'd taken then from Earth and made them what they were now.
"Why not?" Solaraiah stood upright and stretched her body. She was in goddess form so she dimmed it down to just super beautiful human form, standing five and a half feet tall, long shiny blonde hair and perfect creamy skin on a perfect body. She'd completely enjoyed the women fashion in this time period. It was hot in this part of the world she was going to and put on denim short shorts and a halter top. She wore white sneakers and landed behind an abandoned building.
Kane and Ayea had to be on a leash here so she did that or she'd get harassed. Like her companions would want to harm anyone here. They had the best of everything. She walked around some place called Florida, a city called Tampa. Weird names.
The shrill of an ambulance, one of their noisy medical vehicles caught her attention. Why weren't the people of Earth self healing like every other worthwhile race? Still intrigued, Solaraiah followed the commotion to a small dwelling and the humans were pushing the chest of a female it seemed. The female did not look well and it cause something inside of Solaraiah to turn in an unfamiliar way. She felt uncomfortable about what was going on with this human.
"She is in turmoil," Kane said sadly. "She does not want to live."
"Why is she so sad?" Ayea wondered.
Solaraiah could feel her companions' distress as well so she followed the humans working on this human female who'd given up on life it seemed. Someone had hurt her from the bruises on her face and body. What happened to her hair? Solaraiah felt close to real emotions for the first time in more than four thousands years of her existence. What was going on?
"She's someone special," Kane determined. "We need to know. Please, Mistress."
"Yes," Solaraiah said aloud though her companions could only speak in her mind. "Let's follow."
Solaraiah looked at the male and female who came out of the dwelling holding hands and talking quickly.
"Stick to the story, Vangie. Or I swear." The male was saying.
"I'm not about to say anything," the female was saying. "I'm going to have a baby. I'm not going to jail for you."
"We are going to have a baby," the male corrected. "Stick to the story. We found Savannah and she was already like that. They can't prove any different since the clock fell on her."
