Today's history lesson sucks, you thought as you stared with boredom towards the front of the class.

"Miss Y/L/N, can you continue the passage?" Your least favorite teacher, Mr. Mariam boomed. Probably because He noticed you not following along.

"Uh- y-yeah," you stuttered, looking down at your book. You weren't even sure if you were on the right page let alone the right paragraph, and the last thing you needed was another call home about you not paying attention in class.

"Paragraph four," the boy next to you coughed. Nobody else seemed to notice him.

You looked to him as if to ask if you were on the right page and he seemed to know what you were asking because he nodded and you read it as your teacher continued his boring lesson. "Thanks," you whispered and he pretended not to hear, writing his notes down and you shrugged it off. You didn't even know his name so it didn't effect your not paying attention if he ignored you like everyone else.

You were glad you had lunch next with free period following that, but right when you were leaving, someone called your name.

"Hey Y/N! Wait up!" You turned around, mad that someone was getting in the middle of you and your lunch out at Panda Express.

"Yes?" You replied as you saw it was the boy who sat next to you. "Oh. It's you," you groaned, rolling your eyes and getting out of the way so everyone else could leave the class to their lunch. "I thought I wasn't good enough to talk to you," you scoffed, pulling your sleeves above your hands and holding them in fists and walking away with your books pressed tightly against your body and your bag at your side.

"What makes you think that?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows and following you to the parking lot.

"We've never talked before and you helped me today. I said 'thank you,' and you didn't reply. I assumed that you just helped me because you wanted to be nice to the loner chick and then left it. That's the end," you shrugged letting the cold hit you like a ton of bricks as you smiled. You always liked the cool breeze of early spring.

"I'm sorry. I didn't hear you. I'm Luke by the way," He said, chuckling lightly as you reached your car.

"What makes you think that I didn't already know your name?" You asked, opening your car and already climbing in.

"Did you?" Luke asked, climbing into the other seat.

"Erm-. No," you sighed, looking at him with one eyebrow arched and a hand gripped tightly on the wheel.

"Excuse me, what are you doing?" You asked, staring at him up and down. How dare you climb into Sheila! You thought, but held back in fright that you'd sound like a dork.

"Going to lunch with you. What does it look like I'm doing?" He smirked, biting the lip ring that you just had noticed. You suddenly didn't mind him as much.

"Did you ask me if you could get a ride with me?" You asked, shifting your position so your back was against your door and your knee was on your chair.

"Can I join you for lunch today?" He asked, running a hand through his hair but got stopped by his beanie.

"Will you kill me?" You asked, putting on your seatbelt and starting the car.

"No," he answered and looked at you for an answer like a lost puppy and you couldn't help but giggle at how cute he was now seeming.

"Then yes," you told him as he eagerly pulled his seatbelt over himself and you both left.

"Where are we headed?" Luke asked as you just so happened to pull into the car lot.

"Panda Express. Are you blind or something?" You asked as you parked, getting out.

"Oh! Cool!" He exclaimed, getting out and following you.

"Yeah. You can go somewhere else if you want. I'll give you a ride back," you shrugged, getting in line and pulling your phone.

"As I recall, I asked if I could join you for lunch. I plan to eat with you Y/N," he replied, smiling and biting on his lip ring again.

"Would this be like a d-date then?" You asked. You couldn't help but want him to say yes as you bit your own lip and tucked a strand of hair out of your face.

"Would you kill me if I said yes?" He asked, backfiring your question from earlier with a grin.

"No," you answered, rolling your eyes and giggling.

"Well, Y/N, would you agree to to call this a date?" He grinned, but before you could answer, you had to order.

"Hello, what would you like today?" The man behind the counter asked.

"Orange chicken, broccoli beef, and chow mien?" You said while pointing to each of them.

"Alright. Want anything to drink?" He asked.

"An Izze," you replied, grabbing the bottle that he brought from the fridge.

"You sir?" He asked Luke who was staring at you absentmindedly and snapped out, turning red in the ears.

"Oh- er- I'll h-have th-the same thing a-as her with a Pepsi," he nodded coughing lightly.

"Alright. That'll be fifteen dollars," the cashier said getting his Pepsi and putting our food in front of us.

"Okay-," you said, pulling out your wallet but fumbling as Luke pulled out his credit card with ease and we went to sit down.

"You didn't have to pay Luke," you sighed, picking at your chicken and scooping some broccoli into your mouth.

"I suppose it was the gallant thing to do," he chuckled putting some chicken in his mouth and chewing. When he swallowed and rinsed it down with some Pepsi, you noticed a smudge of orange sauce at the corner of his lip.

"Um, you got a little something right there," you said, wiping your own lip.
"Right here?" He asked, wiping his lip ring with a napkin.

"No, the other side," you giggled as he wiped at his lip again.

"Did I get it?" He asked, wiping virtually everywhere but the right spot.

You couldn't help the giggles from bubbling out of you as you grabbed a paper towel saying, "No. Right there," you said slowly, wiping his lip at the same pace as your speech. You bit your lip as you realized how close your faces were. You both began leaning in and you stopped when you were but an inch apart.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-," Luke rambled thinking he had done something wrong, but you stopped him by lightly pressing your lips to his and you smiled as your lips moved in sync with his.

"Remember when you asked if I would agree to call this a date and how I never got to answer?" You asked as your foreheads were pressed against each other's and you both caught your breath.

"Yeah," he replied, grinning as he bit his lip ring and moved some hair from your face.

"Well my answer was yes," you said with a smile, biting your lip as he pecked your lips and grinned.

"Is it to soon to ask when I can see you again?" He chuckled. You couldn't help the smile that crept on your face as you laughed into his shoulder.

"You're a dork. How's same time tomorrow?" You asked. You both laughed as you packed up and left before Luke got in to trouble with his mum for being late to her class for maths.

The next week, you shocked everyone as you walked down the hallway with Luke's arm draped around your shoulder, the both of you laughing.
