They were running. From or where to, they had no idea. They were just running, laughing, and enjoying the cold fresh air. Sure, maybe it was kid like and the complete opposite of Erik Lehnsherr, but Charles Xavier sometimes brought out a new type of Erik in him.

So here they were, Erik chasing Charles into a forest of sorts. Which Erik began to realise looked really ominous.

“Charles!” Erik laughed out. “Charles! Are you sure we should be going in there?”

Charles looked over his shoulder, slowing down, “What? Are you afraid?” he repressed a smile.

Erik snorted, picking up the pace so he could catch up. “Of course not! But bad things in happens in the woods. Everyone knows that.”

“Those sound like words of a coward!” He called, stepping slowly into the woods.

“Oh don’t be a child!” Erik shouted as he rushed towards the forest. He slowed down as he stepped inside, looking around for Charles. “Charles?” he called out, frowning a bit as he walked a bit further inside. “Charles!”

“Boo!” Charles shouted as he landed on top of the taller man, and the two tumbled to the ground.

Erik both screamed and laughed as the two went crashing down, rolling a bit before... Falling? Yes, falling, that’s what they were doing. They were falling, together, hands reaching for each other as they kept falling. It felt like they were plummeting to their deaths, but then soon, it seemed that were just gliding down.

“Charles?”  Erik asked, surprised that he could even talk. And that his words came out clearly. “Charles what is...?” Erik was at a lost of words, looking at the walls, morph and waver around them. He didn’t like this, I mean, no one would, but he really didn’t like this.

Charles unrolled but kept his hands wrapped tight around Erik. “What the hell...” He looked down, unable to find a bottom of the hole. Just then he noticed a set of chess falling at the same speed as them, just sitting there. “Oh Erik...” He said tauntingly.

“You really...? We’re falling, or something and you want to play chess?” Erik asked, slightly in shock. He kept watching the chessboard for a moment, as if seeing the appeal. “Oh... Maybe just one game.”

Charles smirked. The board was already set up, so they played. Erik got in three moves, and Charles got four, before they were rudely interrupted by a piano landing on their chess board, playing itself.

Erik stared a bit, before ‘floating’ or something back over to Charles, wrapping an arm around his waist so he could stay with him. “Did you drug me?” Erik asked, sighing at the pure absurdity of this situation.

Charles looked at him as if the question was the most preposterous thing he had ever heard. “Erik, I swear on my honour, I did not, have not ever, will not ever, drug you. Did you drug me?” The last bit was more to cheer up the mood.
