Khadija groaned hitting the alarm clock that buzzes on the beside drawer. Time passes too much and in a blink of an eye, she's now in SS3. You wonder how she copes with exams and tests right? Well she has her ways
In not less than 3 months she would start her External exams and would move on with life. You would think Maybe She has learnt a lesson and is now matured enough right? But no! If Anything Khadija's Ego is now at the green full line and has reached a complete level. The 'big girl' thing is in a new full level now because she's now in SS3 almost a Jambyte so you can Imagine. She seldom stays in complete class now even thou the teachers reported her to her parents. They punished her by grounding her at home without seeing her girls for 2 weeks. The school that she hates going to now became where she dies to go to. They said since she doesn't want to study, they would help her to 'not study'. After 2 weeks that was like hell for Khadija, her punishment was over and she was back to school. She still doesn't pay attention in class but now she stays in class not hang around with her girls.
Khadija groaned as Rayhana kept tapping her legs
"Ke as big as you are we have to wake you up from sleep before you go to school?Allah ya sa kije hostel, I pray you should go to hostel. I'll see who would be waking you up.""shuu with your bad wish. I'm not going to any hostel." She mumbled with a sleepy voice. She dived more into the duvet and more to la-la land aka Sleep.
Rayhana gave up and left the room. Who is running late, Khadija or her?
When Khadija felt like waking up, she woke up but gasped as it was 8am already. She smiled after seeing she's late so she can't go to school today
Or so she thought
Ummatti banged in and gasped as she saw Khadija on the bed "Don't tell me–" She stooped midway and landed a smack on Khadija's back making her whine.
"Better get up and head to school."
"Ummatti it's late already I would be punished if I go to school now."
"So? That is your own problem. As far as I'm concerned, you aren't staying at home today. Better get up you have to go to school." She said leaving no room for argument and she pulled Khadija off the bed.
"If you waste time Wallahi I'm coming in the toilet and wash you off myself. So better not waste time."
Khadija stood up groaning and muttering some words under her breath. She fell into the toilet but instead of her to do quick and come out, she took time in a bubble bath till the water became cold. A girl needs to pamper her body. But she knows that she locked the door so there's no way her mother would come in so that was why she took her time. For running late, she already is late then what's remaining? 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 1 hour, as far as you are late, you'd have to receive the punishment. When she came out, her Mother wasn't in the room and she thanked Allah for that. Is she the only person who hates dressing up in the presence of someone? She took her time in dressing herself and taking her shoe, she ambulated to the Kitchen but hissed as it was empty. They didn't keep anything for her
"There's no breakfast. Go to school. Probably that's the punishment you get for waking up late." Ummatti said pointing the remote at the TV. Ummatti isn't going to work today because she doesn't have any shift today. Khadija wished she was Ummatti but later remembered that sometimes the woman goes for a 36 hours shift or even more than. Khadija internally scoffed saying she can't be like that. She wish she would be a house wife that has everything she needs without going out to face the scorching sun and has thousands of maids to throw order at. Maybe A politico's wife... No if she's the first lady then she has to go for women meetings, and lots of it and sincerely she doesn't want that. She wants to Marry a rich Man which she has nothing to to with his job but she would receive alert every month right at the comfort of her house. What is she saying? She took an oath to not Marry because she can't picture herself obeying the order of someone else. She won't do it in her parent's house and also do it in her husband's house so it's better she doesn't Marry... That is the only peace

"Mallam driver sauke ni anan, drop me here" she said to the driver as they left their estate and are on their way to school. If you think she's going to school then you've mistaken. She can't picture someone called a teacher beating her. That's never happening
Mallam driver shook his head vigorously "Aa Gaskiya! Hajia told me to Take you to school so I'm not stopping here"
Khadija was amazed by the guts of the driver. How dare he! "Mallam driver, for the last time drop me here!" She yelled hitting her hand on the nape of the Front seat
"Bazan fah ajiye ki ba, I'm not keeping you here" He said sternly
"What the bull shit!" She muttered looking at him "Do you think you are up to that?!"
The driver didn't answer her question. He ignored her and kept driving to their school. She huffed and jumped to the front seat
"What is wrong Khadija?" He asked trying not to loose focus on the road
"Kai har ka isa, How dare you" She grabbed the steering wheel trying to park by the side
"Stop it Khadija! Stop it!" He yelled as he was loosing control of the car

Irfan Ahmad Bayero smiled to himself as he remembered his conversation with the girl he met at the restaurant. He found out that her name is Khadija Nawal Dikku 3rd daughter of Senator Nawal Dikku after researching about her. Something about her adores him but he couldn't pinpoint what it was. He realised that she has Ego but to him it's just a childish act that very soon, she would face the reality. Since after the day he called her and she said he needs medical attention from mental doctors, he hasn't seen her or heard from her as he tried her number several times but it isn't going through. Probably she Blocked him but he would make sure to reach her again Insha Allah. He can't say, but something keeps attracting him to her. His phone rang cutting his train of thoughts. Since he was driving, he used his free hand to touch his ear pod. He knows he's not supposed to think when driving but he can't help it
"Mama" He called as a smile made it's way to his lips
"Irfan don't mama me! Why would you leave without having breakfast?" She scolded making him smile a boyish smile as if she's seeing him
"I'm sorry mama it was an Emergency at the office. I'll get something to eat"
"I'll slap you! Is the Emergency important than food? I'll send mallam Muba to bring the food for you"
He smiled running down his finger over his hair. Who says no to his Mother's delicious?
"Thank you Mama. You're the best"Her melodious laughter filled his ears "Jairi, I thought you don't want" She hung up leaving him smiling like a loon
"Subahanallah! " He mumbled as he spotted a group of people gathered. By the looks of it, it was an accident. He quickly parked and jumped out jogging to the place. He stood still, pinned to the ground
"Khadija!" He called out with a shaky breath
Cliff hanger right 😏😏
