Once Taehyung gained consciousness, he worked to find the mind behind this gruesome scheme. I was not as difficult, since most men from this network had been caught, and it did not take long for them to blurt out their leader. Hearing his name felt like his blood was boiling viciously. The negative emotion he harboured for that human just increased hundred-fold.

Seokjin

Her husband.

He had done it all, from the planned car crash to abduction of Sein.

An inexplicable fury flowed into Taehyung and he felt a strength he thought would be impossible to feel in his injured state. Ignoring the nurse's plea to rest he instantly got dressed and arrived at the Police Headquarters where Jin was being questioned.

It was all because of him—Sein had been locked up in a dark place for weeks, he himself was badly maimed, and Jisoo, she took her own life due to mental stress—all due to Jin. He slammed the door, entering the interrogation room (being in the military meant access to such places) and lunged straight for Jin clad in a shirt with a grey vest on, already enough agitated from the thorough questioning.

Taehyung held him by the collar, ferociously growling.

"How could you do that?!", he demanded.

"Your own wife, you hid her daughter from here, she was going crazy, haunted by the memories and you had the audacity to label her as mentally unstable!", Seokjin gave him no reply, his breaths coming and going raggedly.

"Abducting your own daughter, locking her up in some dark building, just what the fuck were you thinking?!"

"Why at all would you do this to your own family, you bastard?!", Taehyung was gasping now, his heart hammering, mind was throbbing with an unbearable pain and he would collapse any moment if given a choice. This line somehow seemed to tick Jin off.

"The child wasn't mine!", he roared.

"The doctor said I was sterile, I couldn't get her pregnant!", Taehyung's whole conscience dropped, he couldn't even process his words completely. There was a strong urge in him to replay the other's words like a tape, to confirm what he just spoke.

"I was raising someone else's child for 3 years! The girl wasn't mine, why should I care?!"

Taehyung pushed him back onto the chair, he landed with a crash. His thoughts were flooded, it was evident on his features, eyes staring into nothingness. "Motherfucker", he glared spitefully at Seokjin before turning to leave the room, his mind now running wild about something else.

He staggered out of the room. His mind was filled with memories of a certain day, three years ago.

Jisoo had come to him, crying. She told him that her father was hospitalised: Stage 4 Lung Cancer. There was no hope, the doctors had warned already. But that was not all.

"He wants me to get m-married. Says it's his la-last wish.", she hiccupped. Taehyung's spirits rose.

"To one of his colleague's friend, Seokjin. A businessman.", Jisoo's dad had always been unapproving of their relationship. Taehyung's heart dropped, as if a massive boulder was placed on his chest.

"I can't leave him disappointed.... not when he's like this.", her voice cracked and Taehyung tried to blink away the tears stinging his eyes.

"I have no choice but to leave, I'm sorry Taehyung.", a few fresh tears rolled down her cheeks. Jisoo quickly wiped them and gave Taehyung a small grin, which he returned with great difficulty.
