The next morning I was awoken to the sound of Gabby pounding on the door telling me to get ready .As I stumbled out bed I realised my wrist was still sore from yesterday but luckily I am right handed so it wouldn't be a problem at school .I was filled with a sense of dread as I realised it was Monday. For some reason when my mask comes off and everyone can see who I am ,I become awkward and shy .My confidence was like an animal who only comes out at night in fear of being seen. Unfortunately this meant that I was not very popular with people at school but that was fine with me  I prefer to stay under the radar .Despite all of this my childhood friend ,Aria has still for some unknown reason stuck with me  Even though might I add she is one of the most popular girls in school .

Well not if you include Brooklyn Hart .Brooklyn is the head cheerleader ,the queen bee of Madden high who always has her head held high and is never without her cheerleading costume .I would t refer to Brooklyn as a mean girl however this does not mean you should underestimate her .She could be sweet as sugar one moment and a total bitch the next .Kind of a Jekyll and Hyde situation .First me you do NOT want to get on her bad side .Then there's Heather and Ellie, Brooklyn's lap dogs who follow her around like love sick puppy's ,they are harmless really but could still destroy your social life if they wanted to .

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my bedroom door opening, immediately thinking of the worst I got ready to snap my fingers and turn into makeshift (A name the public had come up for superhero me) .My actions stopped as I heard Arias voice filling my ears .Flooded with relief I quickly turned and embraced her in a tight hug ,as I realised she was here to give me a lift to school. My car  had been trashed a few weeks ago and since it only me and Gabby I haven't got about money to fix it yet . One of the disadvantages of being a secret superhero

'Woah, everything ok?' She asked with a chuckle as she returned the hug .I was quick to release her and give her a nod knowing that if she suspected something was up she wouldn't let it go until I told her .I honestly have no idea how I've managed to keep Makeshift a secret for so long .

'We should get going ' I explained as we left my room and went downstairs to find Gabby sitting in the kitchen .

'Good morning, how's your wrist ' she asked me as we came down the stairs .I cursed under my breath knowing Aria had heard .My sister gave me an apologetic look as she realised I hadn't given Aria an excuse for the injury yet.

'Yep all good, love you bye' I said with a smile rushing out of the house praying Aria would drop the subject .Of course that didn't happen.

'What happened to you wrist?' She questioned as we got into her car

'Oh I just fell on it last night. All good' I said with a chuckle. I know she could tell I was lying but thankfully she decided to drop the subject as we pulled out of my drive and made our way to school .
