"There's only 2 things you need to know about me. The rest you'll figure along. I hate lies and more than that I hate liars and so never try that, you'll get caught." He said and paused.

"And the other?" I asked. In response, he leaned forward and my breath hitched.

"I'm a very possessive man. And I don't tolerate people trying to eye or take what's mine and mine only." And with that kissed me closer to my lips. The corners of our lips touched and I closed my eyes to hold in that feeling.

The car haulted in the front of the largest and most expensive jewelry shop in London from we usually buy our jewelry.

He opened the door for me and I stepped out. As soon as I did, his arm snaked around my waist. I looked at where his hand rested and then looked at him. But he started walking as if this was the most casual thing for him.

The doorman opened the door for us and we were greeted by Mr.Paulo Allerd, the french man who was the owner of the showroom.

"Mr.Donnatiello, Ms. Wright it's a pleasure to have you. If you would allow me to led you." So he already called the shop and now we're to receive royal treatment.

We followed him and he led us to the elevator where Mr.Allerd swiped his key card. His arm hasn't moved an inch yet. The elevator opened on a floor which looked private. The interior was white and gold. In the middle were white couches. And a center tables with loads of boxes.

We took a seat on the couches.

"Are we looking for wedding bands today?" Mr.Allerd asked us.

"Yes." I said.

"Very well then. These are some of our latest collections. All the pieces I'll be showing you are exclusive and one of a kind. You won't find one like this anywhere." Gabriel seemed uninterested in his talks and focused on the boxes in front of us.

He started showing us the bands. One particularly caught my eye. They were simple gold bands with a cris cross like engraving on it. They were simple and pretty.

"How about these?" I turned to see him and he was loko at me intently. His gaze then slowly flickered over to my hand and he clicked his tongue.

"It's too plain." He said and turned to where all the rings were displayed.

I liked those rings very much. But it wouldn't match my engagement ring. So I started looking around some more. I didn want something too blingy. I wanted it to be plain and elegant.

"These." Gabriel said as he held 2 rings in his hand. They were 2 toned gold and silver rings. The silver part was matte in the husband's band and in wife's band it was laid with small diamonds. The gold part was shiny. They were the most beautiful ones.

"It's perfect." I said unconsciously as I touched the rings in his palm. Our eyes met.

"Then we buy these." He said.

"Beautiful choice. May I have your ring sizes please? So that we can custom them accordingly." I was about to give him my ring size when,

"4.5 and 10. Get it done today itself." Ofcourse he knows my ring size. Ofcourse he knows my phone number. He knows everything.

We left the shop soon and were currently sitting in his car.

"It's lunch hour. Stop by the restaurant I told you about earlier."

"I can't stay for lunch. I have somethings to do." I said nonchalantly.

"They can wait." He said and I looked out of the window.

We stopped by my favorite Greek restaurant. We had our lunch in peace. No words were exchanged.

"So you'll be leaving right after you drop me?" I asked as he placed his shiny black credit card in the bill.

"Yes." His reply came short.

"So you were just here to buy rings?" I asked amused.

"I could've bought them myself but I wanted them to be your choice. After all you're going to wear it the rest of your life. Might as well it be of your choice."

And in that moment i realized something. I could only pick rings in this relationship. That's where my freedom begins and ends.

Once we were seated back in the car I asked him,

"Is it always going to be this way?"

"What way?"

"You telling me what to do and what not to."

"You've been responsible for your actions a past few years now."

"It's like I don't know you anymore."

"Believe me I felt the same way when you were ashamed to admit or engagement to others."

"I wasn't ashamed. How can you say that? I just wanted time. I didn't wanted to be a girl engaged at 18. Not that there's anything wrong with it. But you know the kind of arrangement we were in."

"Don't refer our relationship as an arrangement. It is way beyond that for me. I'm not doing you a fucking favor by marrying you. I'm marrying you because I want you to be mine. Because you are mine. And no one else's. You've been mine the day you met my sight. So this isn't an arrangement. It's relationship which I'm devoted to." His voice rose with each and every word. His anger petrified me.

I couldn't utter another word. Once we reached home I opened the car door before he could and ran inside. As tears streamed my eyes. I hurriedly went to my room not wanting to someone to see me like this.

Was it so wrong to ask some time for myself?

But it was only later I realized that I had hurt him. I could've hidden it from the public eye and still kept in touch with him. But I didn't. Maybe that's why he's so upset about it.

My mind wandered back to his lines which said that I was his. Was he that possessive about me?

It was as if he was obsessed with me.

Gabriel was confusing. It was so difficult to read his emotions.
