It has been 2 days since me and Peeta broke up and all I have done over the weekend is be alone and pigged out on Ben and Jerry's under a blanket but that didn't help , I came up with a way to help me feel better , make Peeta pay for what he did and make him regret what he did to me even though I still love him like crazy and it will feel wrong teasing some other boy but I need to see.

I walk in to school and take my black sunglasses off and throw them in my bag and look at the school looking at me , I'm guessing they found about the break up and they probably expected me to be a mess but no I'm not . I carry on walking through the hallway and to my locker shoving my books in and taking my maths book out and shovi that in my bag , I close my locker and trace it remembering when I was pushed against it by ️peeta and we had a make out session with the others , I smiled at the memory and held back the tears and walked off to my form still getting glances off boys staring at my behind which makes me feel uncomfortable but I go with it.

I arrive at form and I was late , I'm gonna be in trouble . I walk in to see Haymitch asleep and smirks and look at the girls who have their mouths dropped open , I take my normal seat with them and lean back , I can hear the girls chatting and asking me questions about Peeta but I quickly zone out and let my eyes go casually go to the boys on the other room to see if Peeta had seen me and I meet eyes with the one and only Peeta , he looked confused at me and I smirked back and turned back to the girls who kept nagging me with questions on how i was doing ?, Have you talked to peeta? And blah blah blah.

I hear the bell go for first lesson and stand up and look in my planner to see what lesson i have and sigh as it was Science and i hate science.
" anyone want to skip with me ?" I ask the girls the boys close behind.

" I will "Mark says and smirks seeing his cheeky grin, I can easily see he would think something would happen but it wouldn't, I also catch a glimpse of Peeta face and he looked piss.

"Sure come on, have to be back by afternoon form though "I tell Mark and walk off with him, I catch him staring at my body and I bite my lip feeling uncomfortable because when Peeta did it he did it in a love way and made me feel special, Mark just made me feel like a slut.

"Wait katniss what are you doing?" Glimmer asks walking over with a confused face.

"Getting over Peeta, I'm not some innocent girl"I say and roll my eyes at Glimmer just wanting to leave and I take Marks hand and sighs and quickly run out with him laughing as we run to my car.

" So where should we skip?" Mark asks leaning back and for once looking at my eyes.

"The mall and you can buy me some ice cream" I say and wink at mark and start driving fast to the mall trying to get Peeta out my head.

The day passes and I pretend to have fun with Mark but he just is so boring all he talks about is football and ass and I finally drop him home around 5 and drive home myself and lean against the car outside thinking of when Peeta took me on a date and we lay on the front of the car counting stars.

I look at the house and see the lights on in the kitchen and sigh as they would be having dinner and quickly take my heels off and shove on some converse and start running away from the house I don't know where I'm going i just keep running until i come to a stop.

I'm at the beach by the rocky area where Peeta den is and I sigh becoming curious to if it had changed, last time I was in there me and Peeta were making out on the couch and listening to a old radio, I slowly walk in ducking my head in to the secret cave and smile as the familiar scent of Peeta and Ocean hit my nose and I finally let myself smile and sat on the couch looking around, Peeta wasn't here he probably had work at the bakery or fucking some slut.

" Katniss?" I heard from infront of me and my heart skipped a beat at his voice and turned my head to meet eyes with Peeta.

" What are you doing here?" Peeta asks again and I just look at him as he sets down some wood probably for a fire or to build some shit.

" I don't know, I ran and this is were my legs took me " I say softly still looking at him as he just stood still looking at me like I wasn't real.

" Did you have fun with Mark?" Peeta asks looking down and arranging some wood while I look.

" Why you jealous Peeta?" I ask sitting back in the couch knowing I shouldn't be rude to him when I was in his den, his private place.

"No just asking" Peeta mumbles I knew him well and he was jealous he just wanted to be a man about it and not admit it, he had put up a wall of between his feelings and until someone helped him he would be stuck and start becoming his old self and I would never wish that for him.

" It was boring as fuck, he just talks about football and ass" I say and laugh softly and that make him laugh a little.
" I got ice cream out of it though" i add and smile.

" Always thinking of food, did he get your favourite chocolate with a swirl of vanilla and sprinkles and a cherry?" Peeta asks and I smile at how he remembered how I like it.

" I told him that but he forgot and gave me chocolate with a mint swirl and a cherry, i hate mint ice cream" I say and pull a disgusted face which make Peeta laugh, we always made each other smile.

" If he can't get you the right ice cream then he is not a man"Peeta says and smirks and sits next to me on the couch and I smile at his gesture .

" He is more of inappropriate child" I say and look at Peeta as he was close on the couch and I smile and falling in to his sparkling blue eyes.

" One day I will get your trust back katniss, I'm not giving up on us" Peeta says softly to me and I smile not wanting him to give up but I need to trust him , without trust a relationship is not true.

" I hope one day you do, Peeta you broke that trust, you can't get some duck tape and put it back together because the duck tape will finally pull away and we will be broken again, you need to learn how sew so you can sew us back together" I say softly to him and move my hand through his blonde hair.

"I promise just don't give up on us" Peeta whispers and I nod as a answer and look outside, I was going to be in trouble and Peeta knew my parents rules.

" Do you want me to drive you home? I was just getting some wood for storage"Peeta asks .

" Only if you don't mind , I could run back" I say standing up .

" No I insist " Peeta tells me and I smile glad he was taking me home it meant spending more time with him, i sigh knowing I'm in a mess.

Peeta drives me home and he pulls up outside my house and i look at him and smile.
" Thank you Peeta " I say softly and go to move out the car but before I slam the door Peeta stops me.

" Katniss can we be friends at least?" Peeta asks nicely and also a bit desperate.

I smirk and close the door leaving him hanging and when I get to the door I put my thumbs up and I Saw his big smile which made me smile for the hundredth time today and I watched him drive off and sighed walking in to see my mom and step father waiting for me and took my shoes off ready for a lecture.
