[____] lay on the floor, writhing in pain.

Everything hurt.

He rubbed his arms, then rubbed his eyes, then sighed.

He needed to remember.

That's all he could think about.

He needed to remember.

That's all that was on his mind.

He needed to remember.

Remembering.

He needed to remember.

His mind was a blank slate.

He was in a flashing room.

There was no furniture, no chairs or tables or mirrors.

The room was empty.

Just lights burning through his eyes, day in, day out.

He wondered what the outside world looked like.

He knew it existed.

And virtually anything would help remind him.

But first things first.

How would he get out if he can't even remember his own name?

He needed to remember.

There it was again.

His thoughts were like a loud buzzing in his head, thoughts phasing in and out, wrapping his head in a dense fog.

A dense fog he needed to cut.

He needed to remember.

He felt like a stranger in his own mind, nothing he did doing anything.

He had no family.

No friends.

Just him, in a room, alone.

It wasn't always like this, right?

He needed to remember.

He couldn't remember the last time he'd eaten.

Or slept.

Everything hurt again.

He screamed in frustration.

Bad idea.

He needed to remember.

He needed to remember.

He needed to remember.

He panted hard.

He needed to remember.

He needed to remember.

He needed to remember.

The fog was getting thicker.

He needed to remember.

He needed to remember.

He needed to remember.

"n-no..."

He needed to remember.

He needed to remember.

He needed to remember.

"s-stop..!"

He needed to remember.
