"May I have your attention?" McLaggen had shouted to the entirety of the great hall. McGonagall had looked at him with the most withering glare, although she hadn't said a word.

The hall quieted at his words.

His eyes darted to me, then to Luna, then he licked his lips, a wicked glint in his eyes.

Fuck no.

Without thinking, I shot up from my seat, stepping up onto the Gryffindor table, stepping between the plates and platters, standing, not knowing what to do.

Harry, Neville, Ron and Hermione stared at me, their mouths open in shock.

What am I doing?

I was nervous, because now I was standing on a table, McLaggen was about to fucking expose me and Luna and Luna, well Luna looked more nervous than ever.

I felt hundreds of eyes on me, the silence too loud.

I could see the whole hall, staring at me, then McLaggen. Then Luna stood up from her table, shock in her pretty silvery-blue eyes, her perfect lips parted as she stared up at me, a silent question in her eyes.

What are you doing?

I don't fucking know.

She stepped forward, McLaggen staring at her with rage in his eyes and then he said, "Ginny Weasley and Luna Lovegood-"

He didn't get to finish his sentence. In a burst of adrenaline, I grabbed Luna's hand, the contact sending electric sparks through my veins, her eyes widened. I was frantic.

Trust me. I said through my eyes.

She blinked once. Always.

Pulling her up onto the Gryffindor table, stepping between the plates around us, my body buzzing with adrenaline, pulling her tightly against me, our bodies connecting and then I did it. I kissed her.

It was a shock.

My chest felt hollow.

Then an explosion of emotions erupted within me as Luna cupped my face with her hands, the feeling sending millions of butterflies through my body. My arm snaked around her waist and I was delighted to know that her body fit perfectly against mine. It felt as if I was being completed.

The hall was silent. Then they erupted in cheers.

I didn't bother to look. I didn't want to look.

They were cheering. Shouting.

I could hear Harry saying "Finally."

I heard Hermione squealing.

Ron was shouting.

Neville was laughing with joy.

They were yelling our names but I couldn't seem to care, my hand cupping her cheek and sliding into the silky and soft locks of her hair, twisting the strands with my fingers.

I parted her lips with my own and she made a soft sound that made me melt.

I was lost. Lost in her.

The feel of her lips on mine, soft and sweet, heavenly. I never want to forget the feeling of her lips on mine. I wish I could stay in this moment forever.

Oh, Luna Lovegood.

She was just so lovely.
