"And you're sure this is what you want to do?" My Mum asked, rubbing her temples as we stared at the screen of my computer.

"Yes Mum, I'm certain." I nodded, ademant that I had to go.

She sighd loudly, before smiling weakly, "right then, I have an idea."

She began scrolling through the images of Sydney that I had up on my laptop, before she spoke again, "I have a friend in Sydney, I'm sure she'd put you up for a while until you find somewhere else."

"Really?!" I excitedly questioned, surprised that after spending 10 years wishing to live in Australia, I'd finally get the chance. She nodded, grinning widely at me as I slung my arms around her and hugged her tightly.

"I'll go phone Ann now, one second."

She walked off out of my room, leaving me buzzing with excitement on my bed. She was back a minute later, with a smile that instantly told me that Ann had said yes.

"Jessica," she paused, "you're going to Sydney!!"

I shrieked loudly, engulfing her in one more hug before messaging all my friends. It was all set, I was finally going!

*2 weeks later*

We decided that I was to leave sooner than later, leaving me a month to get settled before finding somewhere to work or study. Soon being 2 weeks.
I grabbed on to my heavy cases, and dragged them out to my Mum's car. I waved off my Dad, who stood at the door with a tear in his eye, before we set off to leave.
"I can't believe it, Jessica. You're finally grown up." She lightly chuckled, sniffling back a tear.
"Don't worry Mum, I'm going to be phoning you all the time. You'll get sick of my voice!" I joked, cheering her up slightly.
"You know, Ann's a really nice lady. She's got a son too, Ashton, he's your age," she winked, making me scoff at her. She knew I wasn't like that, I wasn't ready for any sort of relationship.
"Sorry, Hun!" She giggled, bringing a smile back to my face.
In no time, we were there. I gazed up at the illuminated, lively airport, then glanced back down at my Mum.

"Don't start!" I grinned, wiping away her tear and giving her a final hug, "you'll get me goin-"

I had to cut myself off, realising my voice was breaking, and before we knew it, there we where sobbing in to each other's shoulders at the enterance of the airport.

"I- I gotta go, Mum. I'll phone you when I land." I sniffled, pulling away from the hug and strolling towards the door.

"Goodbye." She smiled, waving at me until I disappeared around a corner.

It was official. I was actually going.

A/N: Hii :) This is like an idea I actually like, and I have tonnes of plans for what I want to do with this. I will make it longer, this is basically an introduction. Thank yaa x
