Chapter 12: " Survival "

I was in shock...
I tried to screamed at my friends , trying to tell them what danger they are going to face...
But I couldn't,
I stood there...

Frozen,
I Knew that I couldn't do anything about it...
Wishing I could move, talk, or do anything at all...
I fainted...

A few hours later...

I wake up in another room,
In a very comfortable seat, but I couldn't move...
I tried to speak,

But my mouth just couldn't open...
So I just sat there, watching clueless rebells walking around in that Blue room...

But of course, most of them knew that it wasn't just nothing...

They tried to talk to other rebells, but they were just as clueless as the other kids...
Migeru was flying around,
Shooting at the shield nobody else except he and Adrian could see...

Everyone gazing at him in awe...

And I could see Keane being serious as ever...

As she always was...
I could see she knew that Rene's minions were watching... But she didn't know that I was one of them...
Enough with my drama...
Keane should be telling this story anyways...

Here we are... Trapped with others we do not know,
But have the same purpose...

We do not know why we are here,
But do we know that...

We...
Are...
Screwed...

The fact that Rene had put all the rebells in one room,
It scares me...
We try to keep ourselves calm, but it just couldn't do...

Knowing that we could all be killed right here...
Then suddenly white gas started to spread all over the room,
I tried to stay awake, but the gas just put us to sleep right away...

We wake up in a totally different room,
Wearing some kind of stretchy clothing, that looked kinda technological...
Frances thought it was cool and kept on poking on hers,
Saying, "Guys check this out! It's some weird cloth thingy...
What's it for?"
Adrian replied,
"Ummm, I think it's some kind of cloth derived from Silk, given the ability to-"
"Stop please, I've heard enough"
Frances interrupted him, smiling...

But Anneka knew noticed no one were wearing anything under their suits,
And covered herself...

Anneka looked at Miguel,
And Miguel looked back...
Anneka felt uneasy,
"B-Baka, what are you looking at?!?"
Anneka said...

" What are YOU looking at?"
Miguel said, annoyed...

"Nothing"
Anneka said, embarrassed...
Miguel smiled...

Matthew was staring into a corner...
Marian waved her hand across his face,
"Wh- what? What happened?"
Matthew said...

Marian giggled...

Suddenly...
We were all individually trapped in these big transparent tubes,
Many of us screamed and pleaded for help,
But there was nothing we could do...

The tubes started to rise,
I panicked...
Screamed, Cried, you name it...
The tubes finally stopped, showing an atmosphere of a forest...

There were the others too, looking around...
Kind of enjoying the scenery...

But they knew that this beautiful place could be their death...

Suddenly, there was a loud voice that could be heard all over the place...
It was a woman, she explained the rules of what they called the "Hunger Games"...
She was psychotic, laughing at what she said... Thinking that seeing kids try to kill their allies would be fun to watch, it was just wrong...

We were to kill each other,
To survive,
To win...
To be the last man standing...
The winner gets to live freely in their best facility,
To always be given what they wanted...
And to live a luxurious life...

Suddenly the tubes opened,
Some were overwhelmed by the idea...

And killed the others...

So I ran looking for my friends,
But then, I felt my that my nerves weren't working anymore...
I was paralyzed, by another child... He had another child with him, perhaps his friend...

His friend slit my throat,
Kicked me onto the floor...

And I died...

But I felt that I was being revived...
I woke up to see Marian,
She had used up all her powers on me, and she fainted...

I tried to get her but some child had already taken her away...

All I could hope of was that it wasn't some crazed kid...

For that could be the end Marian...
