"Captains!" The umpire of the match, called.
Lauren, who was talking with her team mates quickly responded and excused herself. Given that it was friday, most students are dismissed early and are now watching the game.
Even some students of the rival school were there to support their players. It was amusing how it was just a tune-up game, but both student bodies are ready to support them.
Camila was still nowhere to be seen. Given that Nicole was eyeing her girlfriend yesterday, Lauren felt calm that the brunette was still missing in action, but a part of her wanted Camila to be there.
"Alright, head or tails." The umpire asked, once both captains are present.
"Heads." Lauren and Nicole said in unison.
"I wanted Heads." Nicole stated.
"Tails then." Lauren smiled, looking at the commentator. He smiled before he tossed the coin.
"Tails." The commentator smiled, turning to Lauren.
"Pitch or Bat?"
"Hang on, why are you asking her?" Nicole asked.
"You said you wanted heads, she gave you the option." The commentator asked confused.
"It's fine, let's just roll again." Lauren said, looking at the man apologetically.
"Heads or tails." The commentator asked Nicole first.
"Tails." Nicole answered while Lauren only nodded before he tossed the coin.
"Heads." The commentator chuckled before turning to Lauren.
"Pitch." Lauren smiled.
"Hang on, before anything else. Shake hands." The umpire said.
"May the best team wins." Nicole said, offering her hand.
"Agreed." Lauren replied, not surprised by the fact that Nicole was asserting dominance by crushing her hand.
"Five minutes before the game starts." The umpire announced while both girls went on their sides of the field.
Nicole immediately went to Lucy, being all touchy and sweet while Lauren walked to her team. Dinah was there, present at the game while Camila was still nowhere to be found, still missing in action.
"I'm still confused as to where she is." Dinah apologized, sitting on the bleachers. Lauren only nodded, in understanding.
"It's Friday." Lauren chuckled.
"Oh no." Keana frowned.
"Detention Day." Vero said softly.
"Is Camila day skipped then?" Normani asked, while Lauren chuckled.
"No, I went to her before anything else." Lauren grinned happily.
"Camila day, is still Camila day." Lauren smiled.
"Unless it's Lauren day for today." A raspy voice spoke behind Lauren, while the rest of the team cooed at them.
"Camz." Lauren smiled in awe, turning around.
"Hi." Camila greeted, leaning in to kiss Lauren on the cheek, still making her blush.
"Months in the relationship and still blushing." Keana chuckled.
Lauren only nodded in response, she was sure she won't be able to not blush with Camila's small actions. Because in the first place, she wasn't sure she'd get the woman at all.
