It was spring break Essie had been in mystic falls because she liked traveling on her breaks from school she had gotten a hotel room with her bestfriend Kira. Lying down in the hotel room bed essie was high as hell off several crushed up pills she was off her rails and didn't even know this was one of her episodes , she got high a lot trying to forget the constant pain of not knowing who she was or where she came from it hurt her bad that all she had was her name "Essie Sheila B" and she was yet to find out what the B stood for . When feeling she wasn't high enough and that she needed to get higher essie look around for her heroine when she final found it , it was no time before she passed out . Not even 10 minutes after kira came in the room finding her on the floor she tried flipping her over and when she did she started pounding on her chest " esse get up get up you fucking bitch " Kira said crying while dialing 911 at the same time . The ambulance didn't come much time after taking essie to mystic falls hospital , she came through those doors and landed right in the hands of Elena Gilbert , Kira crying told Elena " please save her she's my bestfriend I need her " Elena looked shocked that this was a kid just a kid she thought . Elena gave essie a push on her heart while her fellow was making an air way for her to breath " don't die on us kid " Elena kept saying pushing on her heart grabbing the clamps " charge 300 " but essies body was warm so warm but Elena didn't stop " charge for 400 " Elena felt a jump and boom essies body came back .

Essie had been in the hospital on bed rest for three days Elena was taking good care of her even with every smart remark essie had "why are you always here " she would ask " don't you have kids Or a guy " Elena would laugh essie remarks off always saying " get better essie " . Essie was tired of being their she was tired of Kira being able to say " I told you to stop" she was just tired . Elena had been working different test on essie one which made Elena open up essies files which wasn't much just empty empty space . Making her way back to essie to discharge her Elena bumped into Bonnie right outside of essies room , "omg what are you doing here " Elena said smiling " I came to see you I needed to talk I've been feeling this energ-" " hey lady I'm ready to leave " said an annoyed essie Elena walked in the room " okay es you discharged but you need to stay out of trouble " Bonnie walked in the room " who's this " she asked " essie my name is " Elena started to introduce them but bonnie was silent and stuck she felt a tingling in her arms " it couldn't be " she thought " she's a college student bon from North Carolina but if she doesn't get her act together she'll be back in a hospital soon " essie looked annoyed at Elena " just let me go please and where is that damn Kira i need her so we can go home" essie got up she went into the bathroom to change into her clothes , when she came out she went straight out the door partly bumping Bonnie and when did a little piece of both their passes struck Bonnie . It was like a movie of Bonnie having essie and giving her up not long after but not only that it was fear fear that klaus would know she what she did what she kept from him .

Elena was talking to Bonnie but Bonnie spaced out all she could think about was that her daughter was there in front of her so when she finally came back to reality that's all she could say to Elena " she's my daughter , She's our daughter " Bonnie cried out . Elena was confused all she could do was hug Bonnie but she kept talking " I gave her up I gave our daughter up he would simply kill me elena " Elena begged Bonnie to calm down but she wouldn't " klaus Elena if klaus finds out I was pregnant and gave her away I'm dead " she kept crying in elenas arms up until she feel asleep . With the bits an pieces that Bonnie had told her Elena knew what she had to do she had to keep her friend safe she let Bonnie stay in essies bed in the hospital while she went to find essie and when she did she was alone on the bench outside laying down sleeping . Elena shook her awake " what do you want lady " essie said snarky " come with me it's worth your while " essie got up slowly she could see Elena had been crying but she didn't say anything they walked back through the hospital . Back into the room with an awake Bonnie her eyes puffed out " why am I back here " Bonnie looked into her eyes as she spook " of course your wasting my damn time ms.hospital lady" essie started to walk off until Bonnie opened her mouth " wait " essie stopped in her tracks " your — your my daughter " essies heart dropped as she fell to the ground .

Bonnie had sat down on the ground next to essie " you know that tingling you feel always that energy you always get Thats power that's are family's power " " NO NO NO" essie cried out " I don't have parents or powers " " but you do you do your more powerful than you know and you have parents I'm your mom I know that you tug your ear when you're annoyed because I use to when I was your age I know that your birthday is September 2nd 2012 and I know that you've been waiting to meet your mom to get an explanation for years " . Essie didn't respond she just cried but when she looked up at Bonnie she had one question " who's my dad ?" Bonnie looked away quickly but she knew she owed her daughter the truth " the great evil klaus Mikealson " Bonnie smiled " that's what everyone knew him as but I - I knew him as a lover boy of redemption " Bonnies voice cracked " I loved him and he loved me it was good up until —our fight the big fight . " I've heard about mystic falls and its all true the supernaturals I'm supern-" essie couldn't finish her sentence she started to cry even more than she already had . Bonnie stood up she grabbed essies hand to bring her up " and your name your name is essie Sheila Bennet , your a bennet witch baby " she picked up essies head and wipped her tears " And always hold your head up " Bonnie hugged her right without essie hugging back she understood essies frustration but wanted her to feel safe anyway .
