Traitor

Essie and klaus had spent the night at the lake house they watched scream until they fell asleep which wasn't long essie was worn out . And when she woke up all essie could think about was should she text kira's number back or not and was it really her . Klaus had been up already and to essies surprise he had cooked her pancakes " hungry ? " essie smiled at her dad she never thought that she would ever be where she was in that moment " yes starving " klaus laughed . After eating they got back on the road back home to Bonnie they laughed and played music having a good time up until essie got another message it was a picture this time and there Kira was alive in the flesh essie dropped her phone and started to shake " what's wrong my love " essie couldn't speak all she could do was cry klaus stoped the car and grabbed essies phone off the cars floor " Kira I presume? " essie looked up " she's alive " essie could barley get her words out klaus grabbed essies face " isn't this a good thing ? " essie thought before she spoke " it doesn't feel like it I feel in my gut that somethings not right somethings going on dad and it's just the beginning " . Klaus hugged essie he didn't know what had been going on but he knew he had to protect his daughter at all costs , After looking at the picture essie had texted kiras phone " yes I miss you " and waited for a response but it didn't come so essie fell asleep as klaus continued driving home . When they finally made it home Bonnie was sitting on the porch on the steps and she didn't look happy getting out the car essie looked concerned so did klaus , " your friend stoped by looking for you , she brought her friends and I'm pretty sure one of them were a vampire ". Essie looked scared " I don't know how they knew were we stayed because you never got the chance to tell her so I'm pretty sure they were watching us " klaus sat down beside her " I'm worried about you love " Bonnie stood up and started to go in the house " I'm fine " . In the house klaus and essie watched bonnie wash the dishes it seemed as if she hadn't slept all night klaus walked to her " I think it's best you'd get some sleep " Bonnie turned away from him trying to walk away but klaus quickly swerved in front of her " get some sleep love " klaus said grabbing her hands and running his hand through her hair " IM FINE " Bonnie yelled " and don't touch me like that you can't touch me like that ever again I'm fine " klaus knew Bonnie was right he knew she had every right to not want him to touch her but it just hurted to even think about not being able to touch her again. Essie had been upstairs in the shower thinking about kira and why she was acting the way she was and just as essie was getting out of the shower another text came to her phone it was a voice message this time " went to see you met your new mom she seemed nice , but anyways You should come to this get together tonight I promise it'll be fun love you E please think about it I miss you " essie didn't know if she should trust the message but it was her best-friend asking to hang out how could she not . When Essie made it back downstairs her dad was gone and Bonnie was asleep on the couch so it was easy for her to slip out sitting on the porch Essie text kira back " come get me " and not even five minutes later kira texted her back " on the way meet me at the corner at the block " . Essie had started to walk to the corner once kira let her know she was there walking towards the car Essie seen kira wasn't alone that she had brung Logan that didn't sit right with Essie she thought " why didn't she say he was coming with us ?" Essie felt a weight in her stomach something was off and she could feel it , before getting into the car essie started to step back but before she could someone grabbed her and forced a black hood over her face it was a man and he was strong he pushed her into the car and they drove off .
The next day Klaus had been back at the house he rung the doorbell twice until a just woken up Bonnie had opened the door " may I come in lo- Bonnie ? " not thinking about it she let him in " where's Essie I want her to go with me to visit something special? " Bonnie smirked " taking her to see your wife ? " Bonnie had laughed after she said what she said but klaus's face was dull . He then called Essies name but she didn't come , walking upstairs Bonnie kept calling her " essie klaus is here to take you some place " but when she opened the room door and didn't see essie sleeping Bonnie ran down the stairs " she's gone again AGAIN " klaus face turned from dull to angry both him and Bonnie ran out the door .
After calling essies phone time and time again they had been worried up until Bonnie thought about doing a locater spell . And when she did she found her daughter had been at the Lockwood mansion and didn't second guess going there .
Kira had sat next to essie all night explaining why this had to happen that Essie existing was wrong that nobody should be that powerful . Essie had been crying not that Kira could see because of the fact her face was covered , Kira had told essie that she would be sacrificed soon enough . Essie couldn't believe that there was her friend who set her up what about their history before Logan even came ? Does it all go out the window ? It hurted Essie so much that but that didn't stop her from trying to get away like Kira said essie was powerful but the wolfs pain on the ropes were stoping her from moving her hands and feet she couldn't do much but try to talk to kira "so this have been your plan all along ? Our friendship doesn't matter huh ? You know me I'm harmless -" Kira had stoped her "you are not harmless your totally chaos your an attic how couldn't you be " Essie wanted to scream but she didn't she just let kira keep talking " your dad is a mad men he literally killed Logan's aunt drowned her in a fountain , not to mention your mom how could she betray her friends like this getting with him after all he's done she might be powerful but she's dumb " essie had enough of kiras talking " Oh so your so perfect your betraying your bestfriend for a guy that's telling one side of a story a guy you met after me a guy who wouldn't even be interested in you if you weren't my bestfriend he's only with you to get to me your the dumb one turning to a vampire just to lure me in to feeling bad for you and yea my dad might be a mass murderer but he's great to me " Kira had responded she had gotten what essie was saying but didn't say anything she just simply walked off .
Bonnie and Klaus had made it to the Lockwood's house and Bonnie was fired up she had never been this angry , kicking down the front door to the house she searched along with Klaus who said pretty much nothing . " she's not here that means she has - " Klaus stopped Bonnie from talking by finishing her sentence " they must have her in their family's cellar " walking out of the house Bonnie and Klaus started to walk in the woods behind the house up until they found what they were looking for a guy had been standing outside of the cellar as if he was guarding it . Standing behind him was Klaus and Bonnie and before he could turn around klaus had knocked his head off of his shoulders , watching Bonnie had simply said two words "Phasmatos Incendia" and the guy had lit up in flames . Heading down the stairs Bonnie and klaus walked into somebody " Tyler ? " Bonnie yelled and Tyler Lockwood came from in the shadows " yea in the flesh " klaus had started to walk towards him until bonnie blocked him with her hand " let our daughter go Tyler of your force me to do something brutal " bonnie said with a tear falling from her eye " I'm not afraid of you or your baby father kill me but then you'll never find your daughter that evil will be —" Kira and Logan had walked up " she's becoming -" Logan had stoped talking when he seen them klaus had stared him down looking at Tyler he asked " so this is your cousin I presume? " Tyler looked at klaus not answering him . And that made klaus even madder , swerving over to Logan klaus ripped his heart from he chest while Tyler watched kira screamed " NOOOOOOO — You monster " but klaus didn't even look at her he was looking at Tyler and simply said " let our day go or yours will be next" but Tyler wasn't fazed " No" and when those words came out of his mouth it felt like a bullet in her heart " Too bad ty " she said as kira kept crying " thought we were friends " Bonnie said and with just one look she crumbled Tyler's mind breaking all his limbs one by one " im embarrassed for you " she told him before klaus than ripped his heart from his body and threw it across the room , not caring that Kira had broken down they both went to find essie . " ESSIE ESSIE" essie had heard them " im here im here mom dad im here " essie cried out to them " please help me " finding her Bonnie snatched the black hood off as klaus got her up trying to touch the ropes " owww , wolf Spain " Bonnie grabbed the ropes un tying them . With both her parents hugging her essie cried and cried " I'm a disappointment I couldn't even protect myself how am I you guys daughter " she kept crying " this isn't your fault love " klaus said as he held his daughter " right essie your not a disappointment it's not your fault " Bonnie said stroking essies hair .
When essie finally got the strength to get up they started to leave but when she seen the two bodies and Kira on the floor still crying it hit her that her parents would do anything to protect her and they did . In the car the ride was silent and essie loved it that way she didn't want to have to explain why she even left out she just wanted quiet she didn't want to think about any of it and the good thing was Bonnie and Klaus didn't make her .
