Lisa | Chapter 8

Chapter 8: She’s suspicious

Lisa is currently cooking in the kitchen with the maids like the usual. Today, she’ll fetch her parents from the hospital so she prepared some food for her parents as well.

Jungkook just got up from bed. It’s still 6 and he already told his secretary that he won’t be coming to work today last night.

He came downstairs and was immediately greeted by four busy females in the kitchen. They were cooking more food than usual, he frowned.

Though he was confused, he did not make any fuss about it and leisurely walked towards the dining area.

Soon enough, the maids began serving the dishes in front of them while Lisa neatly placed the dish she made inside the paperbag before proceeding to eat her breakfast.

After breakfast, Lisa readied herself happily. She is in a good mood today since she’ll be visiting her parents once again. She really like being with her parents.

She went down and head straight towards the kitchen and took two paperbags from the counter—the food she cooked for her parents. She walked slowly towards the doorway as she checked the inside of her handbag.

She stopped at the front door, still checking her bag then the food inside the paperbags. While Lisa was busy checking the food, Jungkook was standing not that far from where she was, waiting for the butler.

“Master, your car is ready.” Jihoon came and informed his master. Jungkook gave a short hum and a curt nod before nearing Lisa.

“Let’s go.” This caught Lisa off guard. What is it now?

“Huh? Where?” she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she stared at him.

“To the hospital. Aren’t you going to fetch the in-laws? Let’s go,” Lisa’s jaw dropped as though her jaw just broke. She scowled as she looked at him whose now walking leisurely towards his black luxurious car.

Her mind went frenzy. What does he even mean by that—is he going with her?! That can’t happen. NO!

“Wait! You’re coming with me?” she ran to catch him and asked. Jungkook faced her and stayed silent for a while. She was inwardly crossing her fingers and hoped that he would say no but Mother Earth really hated her this time.

“I told dad I would be fetching him as well.” He then turned his back on her and got inside his car leaving Lisa speechless and in disbelief.

Noticing that she’s still not moving, he lowered the window, “Won’t you come in? What are you standing there for? Are you waiting for a solar eclipse to happen?”

Lisa bit her lower lip to calm her nerves down. This guy is too arrogant! Whatever Chaeyoung told her about this perfect guy is nothing but lies!!!

She stomped her feet and lazily walked towards the other side before getting inside. After she settled herself, she did not speak and just looked outside of the window but frowned when she felt the car wasn’t moving.

“Why aren’t you driving yet?”

“You should ask yourself. Do you want me to have penalties for not following the traffic laws?” he asked that made her confused once again, he sighed, “You’re seatbelt.”

Oh, right. The seatbelt.

She felt her cheeks burn in embarassment as she shyly buckled her seatbelt. Once she was done, Jungkook instantly started the engine and drove away.
