I took a seat on the couch while putting popcorn in my mouth, ready to watch my Sunday night movie. As I put on the movie, my phone began to ring.
"Huh? Who could that be?" I mumbled to myself, as I picked up the phone then saw the caller ID. It was my best friend, Hayden.
I answered the call but before I could say a word, he was already speed talking on the phone.
"Andy, we have a problem!! I.... I.... You have to get here! NOW!!!"
I was shocked to hear him talk so frightened, so I dropped my popcorn and grabbed some reasonable shoes while asking him on the phone, "Okay, where am I meant to go, Hayden? Where are you?"
I heard sounds of movement and chaos before he replied, "Jake's neighbourhood, close to my house. Hurry!" then he ended the call.
I gulped, getting my midnight purple coat. "Hayden, if this is one of your pranks, Lord help you!" I muttered to myself as I got all my things intact, packing some snacks into my side bag.
"Mum!" I yelled. "I'm going to meet Hayden! I'll be back in...." I paused, thinking about the amount of time I might spend dealing with Hayden's mysterious situation. I finally decided and yelled, "Two hours, three tops!"
She finally replied, "Okay. Better be back by then!!" I smiled and with that, I ran out of the house, closing the door with a bang.
I got on my bike, adjusting the new speed settings I installed earlier.
"Please, please work." I pleaded my bike inwardly. I turned it on and it hummed for some seconds before beginning to move.
"Yes!" I exclaimed with utter joy and relief. As I paddled the bike, it began to move faster and was able to make it to where Hayden had told me to go in five minutes (In what would have normally taken me twenty minutes).
I parked my bike near a bush and rushed to the area where Hayden told me to be at. I looked around but I didn't see him or anything.
"Why you little...." I began but I was cut short when suddenly, I was falling down a hole.
