The Return of C.S

I was greeted with lots of hugs when I got back home. I was so happy to be back, to smell the fresh air and feel the warmth of the sun on my face. I ran to my parents, who were waiting for me at the police station. Katie had just left, she was so excited to be back with her parents. Hopefully my parents could get here quickly so I could hug them.
Five minutes later, my mom got here. I ran quickly, screaming "Mom!" on the way to her. We both started crying. Finally I could hug her, tell her I love her.i pulled away from her. "Where's dad?"
"Hun, I think we need to talk...."
It turned out that my mom and dad were so caught up on my disappearance that they forgot about each other. The Sparks were gone.. and they got a divorce. My heart began pounding harder as I heard the unwanted news. I hugged her again.
"You'll still get to see him, I promise. At the moment he's living with a friend who lives an hour away, but I'm going to have a special celebration in honor of your return. And he'll be there, and you can see him."
I was upset about it, but I was just too happy about being free.
I could be me.
