As I sat down, I looked up to see my uncle standing and working to his Waldrop, he brought out a brown envelope then came to sit back on his bed.

"I know it's not time to tell you this; as your mum wants you to be old enough before you have to know and deal with all this." he said a deep scroll out-lined his face

He adjusted his sitting position on his bed.

"I know this will come as a shock to you, but we have not buried your mom yet, she is still in the mortuary as no one could bury her in a place she is not from." I gave him a questioning look

"I know what you want to ask but as an important person in our country we can not bury outside the home, I must say my family is not aware your mum is dead" This took me by surprise

I looked alarmed what is my uncle saying

Many questions go through my mind. I looked at him expecting him to expatiate but he was silent so I asked all the questions in my head at that time.

"Who is she and who are you? why do you hide her death from the family,? what is going on? what are you hiding from me " I ask looking troubled

I could see he is trying hard to conceal a lot from me because he was looking everywhere but at me and he was not going to answer my question.

What is my uncle hiding from me, one I knew we are not from here both my parents are from outside the country, but the country it is hidden from me and I wondered why?

One look at my uncle and I knew he won't tell me even if I asked so why bring up this topic now?

To say I was shocked mum is still not buried is an understatement of this century, what of dad so I asked.

"Why won't you tell me a thing? And how about dad is he buried yet?"

"Your dad too is not. After she died I tried all I could to get his family, but couldn't. The one person in his family emergency at that time was already dead.

This is all too complicated for me what did he want me to do now bury my both parent on the same day or what.

Your dad is not from this country and I couldn't trace him back to his country as I had little or no information. I looked at him perplexed.

The reason I called you in here is not to drop this weight on you but to tell you your mother left a trust fund for you.

I looked up quickly at him, as a smile lighted up his face, he moves closer to me still sitting on his bed.

"I will have loved to take you down there tomorrow to sign a few papers and to hand you over to your mum's agent but I had to travel." he handed me the brown envelope

I took it from him and checked to see that it was money, I looked at him with a big question mark on my face.

That's for your work at the office I have been meaning to pay you but I never had the chance to, as I do not wish to travel without paying you"

I felt glad I needed the money for some personal things, wondering how much it is I heard him talk and I looked up

"That is ten thousand it should keep you the duration of time I will be gone" I smiled thanking him.

"How long will you be gone, uncle?" I asked smiling

"Three weeks" he replied also with a smile. "glad I can put a smile on your face once again, you walked around these days like you are calling the whole world on your shoulders

I laughed out loud "That's not true and you know it uncle" he just raised his eyebrow

"Less I forget;" he said getting up I notice he stood too slowly and the pain was visible in his face but before I could ask he smiled genuinely at me
