Yes, we are here. I hope you had fun with the story. It is, by far, my oldest writing on this site. Yes, I wrote it for NaNoWriMo in 2010. Then it was edited and even found home with a small publisher for a couple of years.
Where did it come from though?
Reading An Interview with the Vampire in Prague and finding it boring. So I came up with the beginning. Then a friend mentioned they'd have liked two characters from my series to get together because they were her favorite, so I sort of worked that one in when drawing up the characters.
All in all, there are a lot of tropes and clichés in there that show how much my writing has changed. I want to believe that it's A LOT. For one thing, I'm a lot more foul mouthed and gritty, lol.
Here are a few fun facts:
- Yes, Rachel and Daniel are based off Kyle and Jessie from the Jewel Project Series. At least physically. Their personalities took a nose dive and turned into something else.
- the geography in this story is spot on, including the most minor of details. The mausoleum, even the church in the cave as well as everything else exists and is still there.
- history aspects are also spot on. Except Vlad having a vampire brother. That's on me.
- You get everything with this story. Superpowers, special snowflakes, permanency scares, the good guys being the evil guys and the villain's redemption. I do that quite a lot, apparently.
- I actually hold physical copies of this book (I think I have around 3 left).
Anyway, hope you guys still enjoyed it.
If you like my stab at writing paranormal and haven't read Saving Grace yet? You could try it now. It's in the same vein but much better.
Want something more complex and character related? Everything else on my profile is just that, lol.
So thanks again for sticking with me through this and I hope to see you around.
