I laid upside down on the couch as ciaran went on about something on the tv. "Marce are you listening?" He asked and i got snapped out of my trance.

"Oh, sorry" i said sitting up. The doorbell rang and i got up off the couch to answer the door. "Hey lanes" i said giving her a small hug and stepping aside to let her in.

"Oh hey laney" ciaran said turning around. "Hey" she said. "Laney, upstairs" i said as i walked up to my room. I shut the door and she plopped on my bed. "They broke up" i said and she smiled.

"Thank god" she said. "Laney...i think i like him" i whispered. "I KNEW IT!" She yelled and i put a hand over her mouth. "Keyword think" i said.

"Well, tell him" she said. "No no no, lanes that can tear apart our whole friendship and i just dont want to risk that" i said.

"But what if he likes you too and you just waste a perfect opportunity to date?" She asked. "Its too risky" i said.

There was a knock on my door and i turned around to open it. "Whats up?" I asked, sticking my head out the door. "Do you guys wanna make cupcakes?" He asked.

"We dont have anything to make cupcakes with" i said. "Then lets go to the store" he said. "You're driving" i said. Grabbing my shoes off the floor. "Cmon lanes" i said and she hopped off my bed.

I sat in the passenger seat and played with the chipped nail polish on my ring finger. "You okay?" Ciaran whispered to me, placing his hand on mine.

I just nodded my head. My hand started shaking under his and he looked up at me. "Marcey, youre shaking" he said concerned. "The light is green"i said. He took one more look at me and pulled off.

A/N: IM SO SORRY THIS IS SO SHORT. I got grounded so i wanted to give yall what i was writing yesterday bc i figured that was better than nothing yk. anywho ill deliver a better chapter when im not grounded anymore!!
