* Chapter Forty Six *

Cheryl's POV:

I take deep breaths as we keep pushing our way through the swarm of people in front of us, Kimberley unlocks the car and we jump in as fast we can. The paparazzi are crowding us and Kimberley starts the car making the engine roar. I put me head in me hands and I start to cry to meself softly as I feel the car moving.

Kimberley reaches out and places her warm hand on me thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze. I look towards her and smile faintly. "You alright babe?" She asks.

"Hm, I'm just emotional Kimba." I tell her honestly as the tears pour down me cheeks.

"I know babe and it's ok to be... everything will work out in the end, I promise." She tells us reassuringly.

I look ahead and realise we're not going in the direction of home and I sigh out loud. "Kimba... where are we going?"

"Well... I thought you might be like this so I've planned us a day out." She tells us with a hopeful look.

"Oh, I just wanted to go home..."

"I thought you might say that Chez... but if we go home you'll just be upset. I wanted to distract you." She tells us biting her lip.

"Ok then, where are we going?" I ask meeting her eyes once more.

She takes a hold of me hand and runs her finger over the back of it softly, "you'll see... you trust me don't you?"

"Of course I do!" I huff.

"We're nearly there ok?"

"Ok but where?"

"Chez, if you paid any attention to the signs we've been passing you'd have worked it out by now!" She says laughing at us.

I snap my head back around to look out of the windscreen, looking out for any upcoming signs. I see one in the distance and wait until we get closer so I can read it clearly.

ZSL LONDON ZOO

I start to smile slowly, "we're going to the zoo?!"

"Indeed we are."

"Oh my god Kimberley, you're the best!"

"Well I try! I wanted to cheer you up and the best way I can do that is through animals right?"

"You're so cute, when did you arrange this?"

"I booked the tickets this morning when you were upstairs with Isabella."

"I thought you were acting suspiciously when we came downstairs." I say with a small chuckle.

We go through the gates that lead to the zoo's carpark and she pulls into a parking bay.

We exit the car and walk over to the entrance hand in hand, we wait in the queue and she pulls us into her side and kisses me cheek softly. We shuffle forward in the queue until we get to the ticket gates.

The woman behind the screen gasps as she realises who we are which causes us to giggle. "Hi there, we have some tickets booked under the name Jane Walsh." Kimberley informs her politely.

"And do you have your booking reference?"

"Yep, it's ZSL300683."

"Perfect, thank you. I will just print out your barcodes for you. Here's your wristbands for your giraffe experience too." She advises sliding them under the screen for us to take.

We scan our tickets and walk through the barriers, "what does she mean by giraffe experience?" I question.

"We'll we're going to go and meet Maggie and Molly?"
