There once was a fair in a kingdom far far away...
It was a beautiful day. Technoblade thought as he strolled down the cobbled streets of old L'manburg. The sun was high in the sky, its hot flames beating down on the ground below. The birds sang, and the wind rustled the lush rose bushes at the side of the street. Old L'manburg was famous for its yellow roses. They grew up the sides of most buildings making the whole town look as if it had been reclaimed by nature, but the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. And Techno found it charming.
The week before the fair had been rather uneventful, surprisingly. Techno had not done anything productive in so long. He wished he could be out helping Philza on his daily endeavours, but alas he was on baby sitting duty per usual.
"Technooo....I am bored of walking carry me!"
Tommy had just turned 7 a couple of weeks before, and now saw himself as all grown up. He was a resilient boy who always dealt well with change. Which helped with the fact Philza (Tommy, Wilbur and Technoblades dad) kept on moving them from town to town. He said it was for his work but Techno had his suspicions.
"Techno carry meeeee....!" Tommy winged.
Techno bent down letting Tommy clamber onto his shoulders.
"Honestly Techno you have to stop giving into him. He will forget how to walk soon." Wilbur said as Tommy stuck his tongue out at him.
Wilbur had in his hands a poetry book. And was reading it as he walked. He hadn't put it down since he found it in the towns libary a couple of days ago. Techno couldn't see what Wilbur found so fascinating, but after all Wilbur had always been the more poetic child. So maybe techno just didn't understand (both Wilburs thoughts and poetry). Often Wilbur would sit alone in what ever room they were living it at the time, strumming his guitar and pondering the problems of his young, troubled mind. Techno regarded it as wilburs way of coping with change.
-------------------------------
Techno, Tommy and Wilbur were on their way down to the town fair they had heard so much about over the course of the last week. News of the monthly fair travelled quickly in old L'manburg. Tommy said that he though L'manburg was a daft name for a place and techno agreed.
Techno winced as Tommy yanked one of his long pink braids.
"Oi!" Said techno turning around to see Tommy holding two of his braids in his hands.
"Gee up horsie!" Tommy giggled in the sweet, angelic way only kids can. Techno turned back around and started galloping down the street carrying Tommy on his shoulders. Tommy laughed so angelically. Wilbur could not be bothered to run with Techno so instead carried on walking slowly, but placed his book in the worn leather satchel he always carried over his shoulder. He was regretting choosing to wear a woolen jumper, as the cool, crisp morning was slowly beginning to transform into a beautiful day. Wilbur look up as the sunlight lit up the nearest house's roof. A flock of crows soared overhead.
"Wilbur! Wilbur! Look there the fair!" Tommy called from the top of the hill pointing down at the series of brightly coloured tents below. The fair was huge in Wilbur opinion for such a small town, but he didn't complain. As the warm bakery smell coming from one of the stools made Tommys and Wilburs mouths water.
-------------------------------
A small stream of townsfolk were slowly marching into the fair all carrying various garlands of the abundant yellow roses, baskets of pastries and towers of cake. It was custom for every towns person to bring a gift to the fair and to share it with others. Wilbur thought it was a pleasant idea that they could all be so kind to each other. Often he wished that he and his siblings could get on better sometimes, but after all there was quite an age difference between the 3 of them. Techno being the oldest having just turned 18 and Wilbur following aged 15. Sometimes he wished he had a brother his age. Or maybe a sister, just so someone would understand him, but I guess Techno would do he thought. Wilbur reached into his satchel and produced the five sticky, sugary, raisin buns Tommy and techno had baked that morning to give as their gift. Tommy saw Wilbur producing the buns out his bag and turned to techno.
