The air was cold and so begun to lightly fall down from the sky. Once again at merlins front doorstep. Shivering I turned around and banged on the door.
"Let me in!" I cried. I didn't know what happened, I hadn't done anything wrong. "Let me in please sir, I haven't done anything wrong." I croaked. I wasn't lying It wasn't me that said those words. But it came out of my mouth. And that boy? Who was he? He seemed so familiar yet I had never met him before. Why?
Determined to find out what happened I circle the small cottage desperate to find another opening.
Then I came across a small window not far from the front door.
A thin layer of ice coated the window but I managed to rub it off with my tattered tea shirt. I leaned in closer towards the window, to find Merlin pacing the room. It didn't take long for him to find me staring in and as he looked up, he muttered another one of his spells and a cover blocked me from looking any further.
I raced around to the next window only to find that too was covered. Then the next, and the next after that only to find all of them covered. This old man was getting on my nerves. I had done absolutely nothin wrong! Yet he was punishing me anyway.

I sat down on a nearby log, snow covering the top like a white blanket. A nearby puddle was frozen too but I could see my reflection gazing back up at me. My green eyes and hazelnut hair that hung messily on either side. My shirt was tattered and dirty. I didn't realise it until now but I had a strange mark o my neck. It looked to be a large ball with several other balls surrounding it. Odd. Why had I never noticed this before? I have seen my reflection before but it has never grabbed my attention. I could say it has never been there.

"Eva!" Merlins old voice yelled furiously from across the frozen lawn.

"Yes sir?" I replied anxiously, carrying myself over to him. He stood near the front door. Hands on his staff looking down at me with a stern face.

"Now Eva. I'm going to ask you a question. Don't lie. I know if you do." He said sternly

"Ok Sir." I fumbled

"Did you cast that spell?" He inquired

"Well...I...Sir..." I stuttered. It was more than a yes or no answer, what was I meant to say?
"I did sir but it wasn't me sir that said it." I stammered "I don't even know any spells!"

"Very well. Never. Never. Repeat those words again young girl." He spoke almost a raspy whisper.

"Ok sir." I mumbled.

"Training starts tonight. Now go have a bath you look freezing." He finished, directing me back inside.
I hadn't really thought about it until now,but I realised I was shivering head to toe.
