Phil POV

We had somehow lost the battle  and are now camping in some nearby woods. We knew Ranboo was in there, we just didn't know where. That's what we are trying to figure out. I had only been able to glance at him but luckily he seemed unharmed.

Another thought pushed it way into my mind. Why had Dream captured Ranboo? Was it because he knew Ranboo was important to the family? These thoughts raced through my mind until Techno poked my arm, pulling me from my swarming thoughts.

"I made Dinner." He handed me a potato before sitting next to me. Techno really loved his potatoes. I ate, my mind wandering yet again. I really wanted to barge in again but that wouldn't do much. We needed a plan, we needed to know where exactly Ranboo is. So hopefully Ranboo could wait for a day or two until we hatched our plan.

I shook my head, freeing myself from my thoughts. I began talking with Techno planning ways to get in and ways to spy on them in order to find Ranboo. Techno didn't get too close to many people but with Ranboo, Techno had become attached. He loved the boy as a brother, and with the worry in his eyes as he spoke, it added to the proof.

Ranboo POV

I had been fed hours ago and my tummy was beginning to rumble again. It's still dark and quiet apart from the occasional foot steps. I was sooooo bored. But the scared feeling I had was distracting me from being bored. My mind's thoughts entertained me though they weren't great thoughts. My mind was filled with images of me being tortured or even dead. I knew this was unlikely but, still, I couldn't get my hopes up.

Deciding it would be best if I had some energy if I was ever able to run, I layed down. The ground was hard and uncomfortable but I fell asleep with no problem.

It was peaceful but it was sadly interrupted. I felt someone shaking me and remembering where I was I shot up. My eyes were wide with terror thinking it was Dream but to my surprise it wasn't. Instead it was the beautiful image of my mother towering over my body, still sitting on the floor. Though the height was intimidating, the vibe of kindness and sweetness she radiated made me feel comfortable.

"⊑⍜⍙ ☊⏃⋏ ⟟? ⟟'⋔ ⋏⍜⏁ ⌇⏁⍀⍜⋏☌ ⟒⋏⍜⎍☌⊑ ⏁⍜ ⏚⍀⟒⏃☍ ⎅⍜⍙⋏ ⏁⊑⟒ ⎅⍜⍜⍀ ⏃⋏⎅ ⟟ ⎅⍜⋏'⏁ ⊑⏃⎐⟒ ⋔⊬ ⌿⍜⍙⟒⍀⌇ ⏁⍜ ⊑⟒⌰⌿ ⋔⟒. ⟟'⋔ ⍙⟒⏃☍." (How can I? I'm not strong enough to break down the door and I don't have my powers to help me. I'm weak.) At that I tilted my head downward, staring at the edge of the white gown.

"⋏⍜, ⋏⍜. ⋏⍜⏁⊑⟟⋏☌ ☊⏃⋏ ⌇⏁⍜⌿ ⊬⍜⎍ ⎎⍀⍜⋔ ⎍⌇⟟⋏☌ ⊬⍜⎍⍀ ⋔⏃☌⟟☊, ⟟⏁ ☊⏃⋏ ⍜⋏⌰⊬ ⍙⟒⏃☍⟒⋏ ⊬⍜⎍. ⊬⍜⎍ ⟊⎍⌇⏁ ⊑⏃⎐⟒ ⏁⍜ ⏚⟒ ☊⍜⋏⎎⟟⎅⟒⋏⏁, ⍀⟒⏃☊⊑ ⎅⟒⟒⌿ ⎅⍜⍙⋏ ⟟⋏⌇⟟⎅⟒ ⍜⎎ ⊬⍜⎍ ⏃⋏⎅ ⌿⎍⌰⌰ ⏁⊑⟒ ⋔⏃☌⟟☊ ⏁⍜ ⏁⊑⟒ ⌇⎍⍀⎎⏃☊⟒. ⌰⟒⏁ ⟟⏁ ⎎⍀⟒⟒ ⏃☌⏃⟟⋏. ⊬⍜⎍ ⏃⍀⟒ ⌇⏁⍀⍜⋏☌, ⋏⍜ ⍜⋏⟒ ⌇⏁⏃⋏⎅⌇ ⏃ ☊⊑⏃⋏☊⟒ ⏃☌⏃⟟⋏⌇⏁ ⋔⊬ ⏚⍜⊬." (No, no. Nothing can stop you from using your magic, it can only weaken you. You just have to be confident, reach deep down inside of you and pull the magic to the surface. Let it free again. You are strong, no one stands a chance against my boy.) I tilted my head back up, staring into my mothers eyes still filled with hope and happiness despite the fact that she's dead. I wanted to be just like her.

She looked into my eyes. Hers now filled with encouragement. It empowered me. I reached to hug her but she faded away, just as my hands began to wrap around her. I was saddened but I knew I couldn't let her down.

I closed my eyes, focusing. I filled myself with as much confidence as I could before reaching down mentally in my mind. I slid down a dark tunnel, filled with twists and turns. The whole opened up and I landed on the hard black ground with a thump. I'm in a small room surrounded by black walls, the only thing illuminated with light being a glowing purple ball in the middle of the room. It's beautiful. It has a purple glow to it, looking like a purple sun. I stared at it a moment longer before I reached my hand out. I didn't know what would happen but before I could turn back I stuck my hand in.

Everything burst with a bright purple light before I opened my eyes again. I was still in the cell but I felt different. My body surged with power. I could feel it rushing through my veins begging to be let free. I had never felt so much power before. Agreeing with what my magic wanted I let it free. I used what I knew about it to break down the door, and began the fight to freedom.
