Ranboo POV
I sat down in the chair before looking up to see a big family. In Front of me is a man with three boys behind him. The man had a white and green striped bucket hat with blonde hair. One of the boys has long pink hair pulled into a braid with a crown atop his head and is dressed like royalty. He has a very emotionless face and seems bored. The one next to him has brown slightly curly hair with a red hat and yellow sweater. He looked cheerful. The last boy who looked my age had blonde hair with a simple white and red t-shirt. He looked excited and interested as he stared at me.
I turned away as the man began to speak. "Ello there mate, I'm Phil and these are my sons, Techno, Wilbur, and Tommy." He pointed to each of the boys from right to left as I just nodded. There was a short silence before the young blonde boy spoke up.
"Why do you look like that?" I sighed as Phil glared at him. This again. Not surprising, but what was surprising was what he said next. "You look so cool." I turned towards him with a shocked expression before deciding to answer.
"Well, I-I was kind of born like this." He nodded, still staring at me with awe in his eyes. Phil began to ask questions like my hobbies favorite color... things like that. I liked this family but I didn't want to get my hopes up just yet.
"I would like to adopt him please." I was shocked at this, and as I looked at the caretaker she was too. I was really getting adopted. I pinched myself just to make sure this wasn't a dream. I smiled. It wasn't a dream I would be getting a home.
Time skip
------At the house------
I looked at their house. No. Our house and smiled again. We were in a snow biome. I had never seen snow but that would have to wait, I was too excited to have a place to call home, at least for a bit. I had my bag of my few belongings on my back as we entered the house. It was cozy with a fireplace in the corner with couches, a kitchen and dining area, and stairs to the second floor.
"Ok, Ranboo, follow Wilbur and he will take you to your room." I nodded and followed him up the stairs. Along the way he pointed out rooms like the washroom and where they all sept. I would definitely have to write this down. He opened the door and led me in.
"This will be your room from now on." I smiled for the third time today, it's to big. There's a bed and door leading to the closet with a desk in the corner. I loved it. "Someone will call you down for dinner later." I nodded and Wilbur smiled before exiting the room. I opened my bag, pulled out a book and quill. I walked over to the desk and began to write in my memory book.
I wrote about my new family and I drew out the house layout from what I saw. I didn't want to forget my way around the house when I needed to use the washroom. I also made sure that while writing about my family I described them. I didn't want to be rude by forgetting their names so I just wrote there names down and a little description. It did get annoying forgetting pretty much everything and sometimes it did take a while to find what I was looking for in my memory book but there really was nothing I could do.
I didn't realize how long it had been until I heard the door open. I hurriedly closed the book before turning around. At the door is... Uh... I think Techno? Yeah.
"Time for dinner." He spoke in his monotone voice before heading back down the hall. His voice confirmed that it was Techno, at the moment that was the one detail I remembered. I brought my book and quill just for safekeeping and if I needed to write something down or remember something.
As I entered the dining room I was met with the smell of chicken. I had never had chicken before. At the orphanage it was always bread soup and salad.
I sat down beside Wilbur. Phil was still in the kitchen cooking so we just sat there in silence. "So before we eat we have something to show you Ranboo." Phil walked in and set the plates of chicken down in front of us. I stopped myself from eating even though I was hungry and the food looked amazing.
They all stood up as Phil spoke. "Like you we are hybrids." I sat there shocked. I had never had another family of hybrids. "Techno is a piglin hybrid, Wilbur is a fish hybrid, Tommy is an elytrian along with me. They began to morph into their true form as I stared with wide eyes and awe. Techno had pig-like features, Wilbur had fish scales and Tommy and Phil both had wings. (Philzas wings: Black, Tommy's wings: brown)
They smiled as I began bombarding them with questions. I never really talk that much but I was just too excited and in awe. "Ok, ok you can ask questions later for now let's dig in." He pointed to the food. No matter how much I wanted to ask I wanted to eat more so I grabbed my knife and fork.
I took my first bite of chicken and my eyes widened. It tasted like heaven. I heard Phil chuckle as I began to eat the chicken much faster, but I didn't care this food is amazing.
Once I had finished eating I looked up. "Good wasn't it?" Phil asked and I nodded before adding. "I've never had chicken." Suddenly everyone turned to look at me. Did I say something wrong?
"What do you mean?" More hesitantly I responded.
"I mean I've never had chicken."
"They don't give you chicken at the orphanage?" This time it was Tommy talking.
"I've only ever eaten bread, soup, and salad." They all looked shocked.
"How old were you when you became an orphan?" Phil asked. I looked down, fidgeting. I didn't want them to stop liking me because I didn't answer so I responded.
"Since birth." I could hear some shocked gasps around me. This only made me frown.
Suddenly, I felt arms around me and when I looked up I saw them all hugging me. Well Techno just patted my head, guess he's not very good with touchy stuff like this. I smiled a little. I had never really been hugged like this, Usually it was a fake one from the caregivers or my foster family.
They let me go and backed up, they still had sympathy for me in their eyes. "Hey mate, why don't you go upstairs and rest, you must be tired." I nodded and left the room heading for mine.
When I flopped on my bed I fell to sleep instantly, but not before I recognized exactly how comfortable this bed was. Definitely more soft than the one at the orphanage.
Phil POV
As me and Techno washed the dishes I felt sad and I could tell Techno was too, even if it was just a little. "I still can't believe he never met his parents and most likely never really saw much of the outside world. He's never even had chicken before!" Techno nodded in agreement.
"None of us were there for that long." Techno replied. I nodded. All of my sons have been orphans only since they were 10 or 8 never from birth. It was truly just horrible. And I know how the caretakers treat the orphans there, it's wrong.
I was about to continue the conversation when a loud scream came from upstairs. I sprinted up the stairs in the blink of an eye with Techno following. The scream had come from Ranboo's room and there were more following.
I practically broke the door down and was met with an odd sight. Ranboo was floating above his bed with some sort of purple mist around him. What was going on?
