Zoë Nightshade listened carefully to the explanation that the blonde girl provided.
"So, let me get this straight. You are telling us that the Greek gods are still alive and kicking and that they need our help, sí?" Asked the Spanish boy.
"That is correct."
Zoë wasn't paying much attention to what happened after that, preferring to look around the home of the gods.
There was a golden door behind her, through which the odd group had entered Olympus. In front of her was a wide path, surrounded by flowers seemingly made of pure gold, that led up the steep mountainside to a huge set of doors that stood at about twice the hight of the average apartment building.
"Wow." she breathed, unable to find the words to describe the scene before her.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Said the blond girl, who's name Zoë still did not know.
She could only nod, in awe of what she was seeing.
"We ought to get going. I shudder to think of what would happen if we were late for an audience with the gods."
With that, the blond boy began to trek towards the huge double doors, motioning for the rest to follow him.
They were panting by the time that they reached the top of the long, winding path.
The blond boy pushed at the door, which gave an indignant squeak before yielding to him. As the door swung open, Zoë gasped.
The inside of the room was much more beautiful than the outside, with its elaborate freezes on the walls and the crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling but what really caught Zoë's eye were the colossal beings seated on illustrated thrones. Thrones that told of tsunamis, tornadoes, wars and much more.
The blondes bowed.
"These are the foreigners, Lord Zeus."
