Chapter 12:

Amara Andrea-Wylder

"hey teddy"

"my girl" he says. I throw my arms around him and pull him into the tightest hug possible but I don't kiss him out of respect for East, I know Theodore is confused about everything right now but a lot has changed in those 18 years and I intend to keep it that way. When I left New York all those years ago, I promised to leave myself behind as well. I'm a new person, I'm Avery Lightwood.

I'm a make breakfast for the kids, I'm the cleaner of the house, I'm a lawyer, I'm a plan my day type of person and I'm a good mom.

"how's my son?" I ask immediately breaking the hug. I can't express how much I miss him.

"he's grown, I can tell you that and he misses his mom everyday" I started to tear up at the thought of seeing my boy very soon.

"thank you so much Theo" I said pulling him back in for a hug.

"he's an assassin just like his mom. dare I say one of the bests and he's an absolute ladies man" of course he is.

"she doesn't know who I am" I notice he doesn't say her name because he actually doesn't know her name.

"Alaria" I tell him. His eyes light up and I know he's thinking about her.

"she's just like you" he says wrapping an arm around my waist. I didn't know how to tell him or if I should get out of this. I playfully slap his arm and wiggle out of his embrace to take a step back.

"East" I called out as he rushed down the stairs to my side. He saw Theodore and instantly bro hugged him for a long moment.

"brother, its good to see you" Theodore says, "you look well Theo" East says before returning to our side. Now for the part we were dreading. "gemelo's" I called out. It took a while for Atlas and Alaria to finally come down. They both stand beside us looking at Theodore.

"you must be Theodore" Atlas says walking up to him. He holds out his hand waiting for The to shake but he pulls him into a hug. I know this must be so hard for Theo. As he lets go Atlas takes a step aside but Alaria doesn't walk up to him.

"what are we doing mom" she says to me. "Alaria and Atlas, this is your father Theodore" I didn't want to beat around the bush because the longer I did the more they would despise me.

"so all this time we thought you were just hiding our family away from us, you were actually hiding our father and our brother and you were just gonna keep us away from them for the rest of our lives" she said staring me down.

"no, I--" I tried to get words in but she wouldn't let me.

"admit it, If Dom never told him and that thing that happened at school didn't happen, you would have never told us about him, would you" It's true, I wouldn't. She looked towards to Theodore.

"your not my father, he is my father" she said pointing at East. She was hurt but not as much as Theodore was when she said those words.

"Alaria" Atlas said but she ignored him. "Dom" she shouted, he rushed down and she walked out into the garage with him. We all stop there in silence as we heard the engine of her car disappear as she drove down and out of the street. I could understand she needed time so I let her go.

Theodore was holding back the tears in his eyes from Alaria leaving. Atlas walked towards him again and threw his arms around him.

"It's nice to meet you" he says as Theo pulls him in, "she will come around, trust me" he said as he let go giving Theodore reassurance. He then went into the garage and drove off as well. I knew he would do that too, they both needed a breather.
