I was finishing getting ready so I could look presentable in front of Shoto's Mom. I didn't know what type of person she was. And was very nervous. So I just decided to wear a nice outfit. One of the nicer things in my closet. Mom gave it to me for my birthday last year.

Knock

Knock

Don't tell me Todoroki is here already?! I checked my phone to see that he was fifteen minutes early. When I opened the door to let him in, I was caught off guard. I hadn't seen Shoto in his casual wear before.

"Are you ready?" I was pulled from my gaze by his question.

"Um yeah, let me grab my bag, and then we can go." I rushed back inside to grab my bag on the couch and then locked my door on the way out.

"It's only a train ride away. So I won't take too much of your time."

"No, it's fine... I wanted to hang out with you anyway." Why did I have to be so nervous right now? I've been alone with him before. Maybe it's the fact that he seems more personal right now and I'm about to meet his mom. "So, your Mom... what is she like?"

"She's nice." That's not a description. After that, it was quiet all the way to the train. We paid using our phones and got on the train. It was so packed for just being the middle of the day on a weekend. Note the sarcasm.

Shoto and I were barely able to fit into the train. We had to be squashed like sardines.

"I never would've thought that I'd see you this uncomfortable being on a train." I tease. But then he did something that for some reason made my heart race.

     He pouted.

That felt like a critical hit. As if being this close to him wasn't heart-inducing enough. He just had to show me a one-of-a-kind facial expression.

The train then began to wobble a bit. Sending some people bumping into each other. I felt something on my thigh. I've experienced this before on the train, but it doesn't make it any easier. And if I said something it would only make the situation more embarrassing.

But I guess switching places with Shoto all of a sudden didn't help my heart either. Shoto must've noticed what was happening and now had caged me in between him and the train door. Is this the famous kabedon?

     "Sorry about that."

     "I-it's fine." My ears burned.

The hospital was a lot nicer than I thought. Everything was clean and pristine. Shoto went up to the front desk. For us to be registered as visitors. The front desk lady then instructed us to go outside saying that that is where his Mom was. I was also surprised by how nice the garden was. The bushes were nicely trimmed and the trees brought a nice shady spot for those to rest under.

"Are you nervous?" I ask. Todoroki kept balling his fist into a ball. Like it was a stress reliever.

"I just... get a little tense sometimes."

"That's fine." I begin to gently rub his back, hoping that it would somewhat help his anxious feelings. But he just takes my hand from his back and holds it. Shoto is holding my hand! "She's sitting on that bench." He gives my hand a final squeeze, before dropping it. "I'm always nervous when I visit. But I do want her to meet you." We then begin to walk closer to her. When she finally notices us, a soft smile appeared on her face. "Hey, Mom."

"Hello, Shoto." She continued to sit there, but then her gaze shifted to me.

     "This is my classmate (L/N)(Y/N)."
