6.| The Night Of The Show

Gina's POV:

It's opening night and I couldn't be more excited. Everyone has worked so hard this semester for this and we look so good. I arrive to the theater a bit early to prepare myself. I calm down and start warming myself up. A bit later, everyone else shows up. I spot EJ and walk up to him.
" Hey! How are you feeling"
" I'm so ready, just a little sad because it's my last opening night but I'm going to make the most of it". I respond, " Well you are going to do great, and I'm excited for tonight" We rescheduled our risotto date for tonight and I couldn't be more happy. I can't believe EJ Caswell actually wants to take me on a date. " Im excited too, it's going to be so much fun" He says smiling at me. " We should go get our costumes on". I say as he puts his arm around me and we walk to the dressing room.

We both walk out dressed in our costumes, and we admire how we look. " I love that makeup Eej" I say as I start laughing at how ridiculous his eyebrows look. " Well what can I say, I look great in everything" he says very cocky. We laugh about each other's makeup until it's time for 'encouraging words' from Ms. Jenn. The words don't do much because honestly, they make no sense. But besides that everyone is super hyped up. It's time for the first scene, and Ricky heads on stage. EJ and I decide to watch from the wings together. We look in the audience to see if we see anyone we know. EJ spots his dad and I look around for my mom but I don't see her. I'm hoping she's just late. Ricky walks offstage and everyone claps for him.

Until it is time for EJ and big red to sing Gaston, we sit together and watch for the wings. When the time comes for him to head onstage I wish him luck. " Break a leg Eej, I know you'll do amazing" I say as I smile at him. " Thanks G" he smiles and winks. That makes my stomach fill with butterflies, and I can feel my face start to heat up. As I'm watching him onstage looking absolutely amazing, I smile bigger.

He walks off stage looking super proud of himself and so am I. I stand up and hug him. We pull apart from the hug as I say, " You did so good Eej!" He smiles and thanks me, but that's all the time we have since i am needed for a song, so he wishes me luck and watches me from the wings for 'Be Our Guest'

I finish singing and I head off stage for intermission. I didn't see EJ so I head to the bathroom. When I walk out I spot him in the hallway. " Hey!" He smiles at me and says, " You absolutely dusted that stage in Be Our Guest, amazing!" " Aw thank you, say that again" He laughs and I get a text from my mom and my smile fades. "G? You ok?" " yeah I just got a text from my mom saying she can't make it, but she sent me a surprise instead!" We talk about my mom until I hear my name being called by an unfamiliar voice. I turn my head and I see my brother Jamie. I haven't seen him in so long that I run to him and leave EJ.

After opening night of the show, everyone is exhausted. But it was so fun and the show went great and we can confidently say that everyone stayed in the same role they started in. But now, it is time for our date

Hi guys! It's been a hot minute I'll admit but I finally decided to continue with this story. I started this in august 2021 and then never finished this chapter sooo. But I am planning on continuing this during season 3 as well and until it's out I'll just make up whatever. But next chapter I am not planning on following the storyline for the last episode bc it was just sad so enjoy
